TRAVEL- TIBETAN CENTRE AT KUSHALNAGAR- A MUST SEE.
Source : Thomas Dsouza
On my recent trip to Kushalnagar on Mangalore-Mysore highway, I had a chance to visit the Tibetan colony nearby. In the early 70’s a small village was donated to the Tibetan refugees by the late Mr. Devraj Urs, the then Chief Minister of Karnataka. Gradually the village has developed as a spiritual centre and Monastery to the Tibetans, who live there and is an attractive tourist centre.
The centre has two huge golden temples which are unique in their design and has beautiful interiors. Many young monks (Lamas) train here and after their ordination go to the various centers in India. Regular religious seminars are also held in the centre. The village also has a shopping complex run the Tibetans where Tibetan artifacts and other articles are sold.
A special attraction to the visitors are a number of huge honey bee hives attached to the temples. Since no one troubles them, they thrive on the non violent traits of Buddhists.A highly recommended place to visit if you happen to travel on Mangalore-Mysore highway.

I second Nasveen.
I completely agree with what Nasveen has said. Don't underdtand why people are commenting so badly on whatever he said. Really don't understand the necessity/relation to saying "So before judging anyone it is better you see youself infront of the mirror and comment".
Nasveen said rightly. This website should protray Kemmannu and its people. Why should it detail about some other place? This is not the appropriate forum.
Nasveen said it nicely. I am not so good. Especially after seeing so many people commenting on him.
Thanks.

Dear Nasveen,
It is better for you come to Kemmannu , stay there for few days and then comment
And kindly let us know apart from Daijiworld which regional Website gives information more than kemmannu.com
This is the website which is hailed from lot of personalities from our own Manglore and also from outside.
So before judging anyone it is better you see youself infront of the mirror and comment.

One Question to Nasveen, Dubai, that this article is not in scope of kemmannu.com, what does you mean this?

This Tibetian Golden Monstery is located at Bailukoppe on Mysore-Madikeri road. I had been to this place 4 to 5 times. It is about 80 kms away from my native place Sullia. Though they are tibetians they are Buddhist. The items sold in the shops there are very very costly. And the most I like " the bell and the stick" Just take the given stick and rub it round gently on the outer face of bell, then you will hear an amusing sound which will give you a kind of peace of mind
