Padmabushan Dr. Heggade inaugurates Thonse Padumane Trust (R)

Thonse/Kemmannu, May, 2014: Thonse Padumane family which is having the history of over 200 years and originally belongs to Jain family till the 17th century has activated their existence by forming Thonse Padumane Trust(R) on the 11th of May, 2014.

Padmabushan, Rajasree Dr. Veeraendra Heggade, Darmadikari, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala inaugurated the Trust in the presence of Sri Vishwesha Tirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Math, Udupi and  Sri Laxmivarathirtha Swamiji of Shiroor Math, Udupi.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Veeraendra Heggade narrated many example why we need to look towards our roots and the importance of agriculture and traditions followed by our ancestors. He also congratulated Thonse Jayakrishna A. Shetty for taking this step to unit his family roots. . It is not important that you should be proud of your ancestors but your ancestors should be proud of you, said Dr. Heggade. It was for the first time Darmadikari Dr. Veerendra Heggade skipped a family related function to attend the function orgnaised by Thonse Jayakrishna A. Shetty.

The website related to  the Thonse Padumane Family Tree http://thonsepadumane.org was inaugurated by Sri Vishwesha Tirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Math.  During his speech Pejawara Swamiji congratulated Thonse Jayakrishna A. Shetty for his effort to unit all the family members.

Earlier on the same day Satyanarayana Pooja was held from 9 AM to 11 AM.

Mr. Raghuram M. Hegde, President and Thonse Jaykrishna A. Shetty Vice president of the trust welcomed the dignitaries to the function. Secretary Divakar M. Shetty compared the programme and Ramesh B. Shetty     Treasurer conveyed the vote of thanks.

The Thonse padumane is lastly ruled by Baggu Chowta and Balu Chowta brothers and since they had no children, in 1820 they have donated the entire property to Pandumane ancestor Mabbanna Shetty to continue the worship of God’s including Laxmiganapathi, Ammanavaru, Kenchamma Devi, Garodi,  24 Family Deities (Daiwagalu), celebration of Kambala, Annual family diety, Tambila and Mahalaya Etc., also to take care of family traditions’ and agriculture.

The trustees and members of Thonse Padumane - Mahabala -Poovamma family have formed the Thonse Padumane Family Trust and organised this Family get together  for the unity of 1100/= family members from all around the world. The whole day programme started early morning got concluded with the dinner in the night.
