I know this teacher, she is really very good, why the school cannot felicitate her where she worked so many years, what about the pension will she get or not? Such requests are strange but in this case any contribution goes directly to her and not to school then people please contribute, she has some special needs. We all must contribute. Sr. Sophia please confirm the contribution goes to her and not to the school at the earliest.
Congress is the only solution to Karnataka. Now even our joker Yeddyurappa realised this.......
Hilda Madam there are thousands of students whom you taught. May be they are "too busy’ to wish you but you acknowledged the compliments by a few. That shows how much patience you have even today. I accept that my batch of 1978 were very naughty and did a lot of harakeri. Now I confess we were wrong. Madam have a peaceful retired life.
Yes Rudolf he is not a hypocrite. He once admitted that he is born of an illicit relation and branded himself as a bastard. I even like the openness of his daughter Pooja who once said "why men should feel superior to woman? I really admire such people.
Once bitten twice shy, that may be the case with Mallika. As per reports she was very much married before she entered Bollywood. Why should she think of Marriage, when she has the handsome Antonio Banderas beside her. She is a very bad example for the conservative Indian girls. Let her live abroad and have a live-in relation with whomsoever she wants. In India we call such women as B....
I love Mahesh Bhatji for his "candidness"!! I have never seen a man speaking so openly on his personal life!! Wish we all could be like him and be non-hypocrites!! I wish him good health and a long fruitful life!
I would like to add: The feeling of awe you get from beautiful views can actually slow down your perception of time - and improve your well-being. This fact has been proven medically!
This is a great hobby being promoted by Kemmanu.com! It will eventually help generate interest of Mother Nature in children and thereby create values in them to appreciate, love, and conserve nature and animals rather than sitting the entire day glued to e-instruments and becoming couch potatoes!!
Per me, there is no bigger thing than loving/understanging/protecting Mother Nature and its creations!!
Kudos to the Kemannu.com team!
Dear Richie / Braan, I happened to ride this way on my Yezdi during my college days, on the way to Kudremukh, I had visited a similar site. It is heartening to see that this place is still so beautiful and unpolluted. I hope sense will prevail and all the waste from the picnic is taken back for proper disposal instead of leaving behind. I have done a couple of long driving trips in Assam, Wst Bengal and other places. Keep up the good work. One suggestion though...please disply few pictures and post the other pictures in a separate folder with the link to it. You run out of patience when the loading of so many pictures take forever on slower connections. For those hardcore nature lovers and driving fanatics like me, please visit http://www.team-bhp.com. It gives loads of information on Do’s and Don’ts, where, when, how to go etc. Worth having a look at. Nice pictures. All the best.....Flavian
Cogratulations and best wishes to Prof. Hilda Madam.
Some local guy has to take a call and educate people about environment friendly festivities.........
We too had been to Hanuman Gundi way back, may be about the same time as Brans earlier visit. We on our way to Shringeri stopped over here. As Bran said there were no steps or railings those days. I am sure it looked much more beautiful then than its present form. It was not easy then to get down or climb up those days. The descending was slippery and one careless step would send one to the bottom without much efforts. Of course it would not have been possible those days for aged people to reach the stream down bellow. The drive through the reserved forest was real feast to the eyes. One can see trees and plants with red leaves which I have not seen elsewhere.
Thanks a lot for the warm regards and wishes. The award is to all my students because it is with students a teacher is born-Hilda Madam
Mr. D’Souza the shop owner has settled there for the last 3 generations, his ancestors belong to undivided DK then. Any body would wonder at that height where he gets water from a deep well?
Ans: He has laid a PVC water line from a distance 2.5 km cliff near by. The pipe flows with clean , crystal clear water from the hills without a pump.(gravity flow). The pipe does’t have a tap to restrict the spring water. Its absolutely flowing 365x24 through out the year with same pressure (20mm out let). When u visit please do c this phenomena.
I wish if I had an opportunity to be with this team on tour. There are many places of interest in Udupi and neighboring districts of Shivmoga and Chickmangalor Places of importance in and around Udupi and Shimoga
Mahisha Mardhini: A monument in the backyard of Shivappa Nayaka’s palace
Shivappa Nayaka’s palace is located within the city.
Jog Falls are a large series of waterfalls, located 105 km (65 mi) from Shimoga in Sagar taluk. The Sharavathi River takes a spectacular jump from a height of 292 metres (958 ft) in four distinct falls to form the highest waterfalls in India. The best time to visit is soon after the monsoon season during July and August.

Gajanur dam lies 15 km or 9 mi to the southwest.
Koodli lies 15 km away and is the place where the Tunga and Bhadra rivers meet and flow together as Tungabhadra.
Koodli
Tyavarekoppa Lion and Tiger Safari lies 12 km on the way to Sagara. Safari drives are conducted by forest department.

We want the president or any responsible member to comment about the future plans - The pictures show all are serious while they read the copy’s of the reports from their hand. Is there something really serious?? Ossy/Stany some clarifications please.
Share holder, My belief, while joining the Sangha as a share holder was that they will buy our products, sell them and give us a fair price. At the outset they should have known it as a big task. Now they are doing finance business. Certainly our our investment is going to be considered as a donation to our known friends. Best way out is wind up the Sangha and distribute whatever money that is left in the chest. Coconut prices are languishing at their lowest and no one has any interest to feed the trees with manure. Fertilizers price has touched the roof, with the govt withdrawing subsidies. I wonder where the Sangha is heading to. Hope the "Directors" will clarify. As one of our viewer always comments, "Let this not be a photo session" to show their children "see I was there".
Sadanand, a afterthought: The monkey must have seen the Airtel Ad and saying to the cameraman "Jo tera hai whow mera hai and Jo mera hai whow tera hai".
Congratulations to Hilda Madam, wish you all the best. Alex and Ophelia Lewis, Kallianpur.
congratulations an best wishe, we need more shops like this in Santhekatte Junction.
Congratullations to Benny Teacher, Alphonse, Hilada Madam and Murel. May ur service be an inspirations to others.
Dr GErald PInto
Congratulations and all the best to Robert
Very impressive writeup and pictures of Braan/Richard gang’s adventure to Hanumangundi Falls!! The water looks pristine and the scenery is awe inspiring!! Really, the Western Ghats are mother nature’s gift to us with a big treasure trove of flora fauna hitherto unexplored, but unfortunately Ktk Govt. refused to accept the status for reasons well known to them!!
The article is very informative too for others who would like to venture Hanumangundi!
Looks like Braan and his sons have turned into avid nature lovers and good to see them resemble professional trekkers!!
Thanks to the website for showcasing such good activities of exploring and enjoying the beauty of nature!! This exposure will lead to more and more youngsters to turn to nature enthusiasts which is one of the best hobbies!!
From the article, I am very impressed by the store owner D’souza serving people with his sole shop and not getting carried away to get closer to the city in search of more money and comforts!!
Thanks to Thomas, Richard, Braan, and all for taking the trouble for giving us all a "virtual trip" of the beautiful Hanumangundi!!
Cheers and God Bless!!
What a beauty! Very well married with two young kids, hundreds of suitors qued up stunned with her beauty, ending with getting the most eligible bachelor of Pakistan. Many a foreign Ministers including our own SM Krishna may be shaking their head with disbelief saying "Even I could have tried to woo her".
Jagadish Shettar is not FOOLPROOF......
Sadanand, Do we have a government in Karnataka or are we only ruled only by monkeys?
Dear Robert Pramila,
Congrats! we wish you all the best.
Robert / Joselyn

Dear friends
beautiful is our Karnataka but the foolishness of the government which does not bring our tourist destinations in the international map is a sad story. There are many beautiful beaches hill stations yet to explore. Kerala and Goa are on the forefront but Karnataka lags 100 years back!
Thanks to the Kemmannus youngsters Thomas, Brian, Arun, Aron, Richard and Linet for giving such a thrilling instance of tour.
Please sensor the monkey without underwear! there is food to taught the monkey on board is politicians of today in our state............
Dear Mr Zaffer, congratulation to you, I wish your business fruitful everyday!
Dear Braan, Well written article.., Very nice images..particularly karnataka sarkara. Thanks for sharing your wonderful journey..Have fun…
I had gone to this falls about 18 years back and there was nothing. It was a deep terrain/valley those days. With greatest of difficulties one could reach the bottom of the falls.
Changes now: check point to get into forest, gate to enter the falls with fees, steps, u can find venders selling some things etc. Due to the step work been done with railings any one can reach there, we should thank the govt. of karnataka. If the same falls was there at kerala the place would have been a BIG tourist attraction. Its just a 70 km drive from udupi, guys u should go to any falls immediately after mansoon because there would be loads of water. and finaly to add the spice, This perticular route with its scenic beauty gives pleasure for a rider. It was Richi’s pressure which made us venture by Bike.
Hi, Pl sent me 2012 Ganesh images
Yes, the pictures show the place is slippery, should take precaution, and anyway good to know this place, pictures are nice, thank you guys for your adventurous way of bringing articles in this column. Remembered reading kodlu thirtha and jumlu thirtha falls.
These guys and gals look adventurous. They swimm surf skate, climb mountains, reach under waterfalls, Their instinct to go beyond limits is appreciable God bless you all. Your given information to reach different places is helpful to everyone. My advise is keep going everywhere and you will achieve happiness in life!
What was the result of this meeting reporter has not included any agenda of this meeting. I am holding few shares of this Sahakari Sangha, Can someone who attended the meeting clarify the results of this meeting. Are they going to declare any dividend??
