Udupi : As many as 147 new positive cases and two deaths which one from Kundapur and one from Udupi taluk reported for COVID-19 second wave in Udupi district on Thursday, July 8. Active cases are sharp reduced to 891

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among  141 covid positive cases, 81 cases reported as symptomatic which 41 are male and 40 are female, meanwhile out of 66 cases of asymptomatic, 29 are  male and 37 are female. 

Among 141 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 49, from Kundapura 60, Karkala taluk is 38 and from other districts is nil.

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 12 and at Home Isolation are 135. Total active cases today are 891.

 Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave on 07.07. 2021 are 3164 and total tested on second wave till 07.07.2021 is 334628. Total first wave and second wave tested are 702869. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 08.07.2021 during second wave are 157 and total discharges on second wave are 42559.  Total discharges in the district are 65980.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190.  Two deaths on second wave are occurred today on Thursday, 08.07.2021. Till 08.07.2021 deaths in second wave are 210.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 400. Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 43660 Total positives in the district are increased to 67271.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Thursday are 18 to 44 years first dose 1819 and cumulative total 126311, second dose 119, cumulative second dose 1278, above 45 years Ist dose are 1310 and cumulative total 279529, IInd dose 1639 and cumulative total 113015, for HCW’s Ist dose 63 and cumulative total is 23509 and IInd dose 3, cumulative total is 19509, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 7964 and IInd dose 11 and cumulative total is 3855. Total today Ist dose are 3132 which cumulative total is 437313 and for IInd dose are 1772 people and cumulative total is 137657.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 1, Total till on 08.07.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till 08.07.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till 07.07.2021 is 6, other districts is 1, Till 08.07.2021 is 26. No death occurred today for black fungus. Two deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till 08.07.2021. A total discharge on today is 1. Total discharges till 08.07.2021 is 27. Total cases in the district are 37. Total active cases are 8.
