Udupi : As many as 191 new positive cases and one succumbed death of 76 year old female from Kundapura for COVID-19 reported in Udupi district on Thursday, August 12. Active cases are increased to 1259.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 191 covid positive cases, 124 cases reported as symptomatic which 68 are male and 56  are female, meanwhile out of 67 cases of asymptomatic 28 are  male and  39 are female. 

Among 191 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 96, from Kundapura 49, Karkala taluk is 45 and from other districts is one.

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 35 and at Home Isolation are 156. Total active cases today are1259.

  Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 11.08.2021 are 5756 and total tested on second wave till 11.08.2021 is 467410. Total first wave and second wave tested are 835651. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 12.08.2021 during second wave are 241 and total discharges on second wave are 46246.  Total discharges in the district are 69667.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. One death reported on second wave occurred today on Thursday on 12.08.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 241.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 431.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 47746.Total positives in the district are increased to 71357.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Thursday for 18 to 44 years first dose  are 1744 and cumulative total 205462, second dose1312, cumulative second dose 18935, above 45 years Ist dose are 672 and cumulative total 323586, IInd dose 873 and cumulative total 162346, for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23563 and IInd dose 0, cumulative total is 19593, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8083 and IInd dose 0 and cumulative total is 4081. Total today Ist dose are 2416 which cumulative total is 560694 and for IInd dose are 2185 people and cumulative total 204955.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 12.08.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 12.08.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 12.08.2021 is 6, other districts is1, Till today 12.08.2021 is 39. No death occurred today for black fungus. Five deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today 11.08.2021. Total discharge on today is 1. Total discharges till today on 12.08.2021  is 39. Total cases in the district are 50. Total active cases are6.
