Udupi : As many as 98 new positive cases and  three deaths for COVID-19 reported in Udupi district on Monday, August  30. All three deaths from Udupi taluk aged 79 years female and 69 years and 52 years are male. Active cases are reduced to 1523.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 98 covid positive cases, 62 cases reported as symptomatic which 27 are male and 35 are female, meanwhile out of 36 cases of asymptomatic 14 are  male and  22 are female. 

Among 98 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 51, from Kundapura 28, Karkala taluk is 17 and from other districts are two. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 17 and at Home Isolation are 81. Total active cases today are 1523.

  Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 29.08.2021 are 7872 and total tested on second wave till 29 .08.2021 is 590183. Total first wave and second wave tested are 958424. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 30.08.2021 during second wave are 118 and total discharges on second wave are 48347.  Total discharges in the district are 71768.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. Three deaths reported on second wave occurred today on Monday on 30.08.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 262.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 452.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 50132. Total positives in the district are increased to 73743.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Monday for 18 to 44 years first doses  are 20055 and cumulative total 311027, second dose 3617, cumulative second dose 47096, above 45 years Ist dose are 7540 and cumulative total 359780, IInd dose 3754 and cumulative total 191514, for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23563 and IInd dose 1, cumulative total is 19989, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8083 and IInd dose 0 and cumulative total  is 4255. Total today Ist dose are 27595 which cumulative total is 702453, 2nd dose 7352, Cumulative total 262855.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 30.08.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 30.08.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 30.08.2021 is 6, other districts is 1, Till today 30.08.2021 is 41. No death occurred today for black fungus. Five deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today 30.08.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 52. Total discharge on today is 1. Total discharges till today 45. Active cases are 2.
