Thrilling Bengaluru finale of Cobx Masters, bringing national spotlight to the winners

Bengaluru 26th June 2018 : LXG Esports- and Go Figure as they emerged victorious against teams BlitzKreig and Reload Gaming respectively in their Dota 2 & CS: GO finals in the Bengaluru Finale of Cobx Masters 2018: Phase I. The tournament, the first of its kind in Indian esports tournament, saw the winners taking home trophies and a cheque of Rs. 30,000/- each, along with Cobx merchandise. The runners-up were rewarded with Rs. 20,000/- each. The finale was hosted at Blitz-zone in Mathikere region and saw an enthusiastic participation from both, players and gaming enthusiasts.

After competing through online stage and winning the semi-finals, Team LXG Esports and Team BlitzKreig of Dota 2 and Team Go Figure and Team Reload Gaming of CS: GO qualified for the Phase I Bengaluru Finale, a day, the city’s gamers were keenly looking forward to as it’s one of the top tournaments in the country. The thrilling finale started at 3 PM, and amidst immense excitement, saw Team LXG Esports rising to the champion position in the Dota 2 finale, while Team Go Figure took the conquering position in the CS: GO finale. Team BlitzKreig and Team Reload Gaming took the runners-up positions. The victorious teams now qualify for Phase II.

Sharing his thoughts, Vedant Patil, Captain of Team LXG Esports, Dota 2 said, “This day will always be cherished by us as we have qualified for the second phase of India’s 1st International level tournament. So far, we have participated in various tournaments but none came with an international exposure that Cobx Masters comes with. It is a matter of pride for us to win the 1st phase of a largescale tournament. With this win our confidence has increased tremendously and we hope to win the tournament title with our hard work and dedication.”

While Prashanth M of Team Go Figure, CS: GO said, “With the level of professionalism in Cobx Masters, we are driven to pursue gaming as a career with much more seriousness, just like thousands of gamers around the world. And this win has taken us a step closer to our ambition. Our dream is to represent India in international tournaments and we are ready to put all our efforts to achieve this dream,”
