Missing realtors found murdered
Contract killers hired
Corpses found in a pit
Bengaluru: The two realtors from the city, who went missing on the same day about a month back, have been found murdered in a pit near Harohalli, Kanakapura. The duo were murdered by contract killers on the bidding of another realtor, from whom the duo were demanding back the the Rs. 60 lakh lent to him.
The deceased have been identified as Prasad Babu (45) from Rajarajeshwari Nagar, and Balaji (43) from Girinagar here. The main accused in the case is Tejas (40), a real estate businessman from J P Nagar and his associates, Mani (32) and Anil (30) who reportedly helped in this murder. All three of the accused have been arrested while another three more who were allegedly involved with this murder are absconding.
Motive
The accused had financial transactions with the victims and had borrowed a sum of Rs 60 lakh from them. However, he failed to pay the amount on the due date. Hence, the victims started pressurizing him to repay their money. The lenders demands only infuriated the accused who made up his mind to get the duo snuffed. Therefore he contacted three persons who are currently at large for executing his plan, informed the police.
Incident synopsis
According to the plan, on June 27th, Tejas called both the realtors and asked them to come over to his office at J P Nagar to collect their money. But on reaching the office, contrary to their expectation, they were abducted by the contract killers in a car and confined to a godown at Avalahalli here.
The duo were tied to a chair and were attached by the killers. When the victims shouted, the killers gagged them and then smothered them to death. The victims mortal remains were then loaded into a car, taken to a farm house belonging to Tejas at Harohalli, kept in a room, after which tejas was informed.
Later, in the evening of the same day, Tejas, with the help of his accomplices, brought a backhoe owned by a known person from Yalachenahalli to his farm house. A pit was dug in a desolate area in his farm and both the corpses were buried, informed the police. Presently, the police are collecting details of the three persons who have escaped after murdering the duo.
Police complaint
Prasad Babu’s wife had filed missing complaint about her husband in Rajarajeshwari Nagar police station, while Balaji’s missing complaint was filed in Girinagar station. Both had gone missing the same day. While investigating the disappearance, the police found the motor bike of Prasad Babu parked near the office of Tejas. They consequently questioned Tejas who acted innocent and assured the police he knew nothing about the victims.
The police however checked the video footage of the area and found two persons moving about suspiciously. They checked the mobile details of Prasad and Balaji and ascertained that both the phones were active for the last time near the office of Tejas. Moreover, the police also got clue that Tejas was well-known to the deceased and had not repaid the loan. The police immediately arrested Tejas and his two accomplices and subjected them to questioning when they spilled the beans.
