Gundamma to take up the Kabaddi Challenge in Zee Kannada’s Brahmagantu!

Bangalore 3rd November 2017: Known for its out-of-the-ordinary plot and an original from Zee Kannada, Brahmagantu is the story of an aspiring sportsman Lucky’s--essayed by Bharath Bopanna--tryst with an obese girl Gundamma, essayed by Geetha Bhat. While their seemingly normal lives created many unparalleled entertainment avenues for viewers, in a sudden turn of events, Lucky and Gundamma found themselves married adding a jolt of unexpectedness to their future. While Gundamma tries her best to fulfil her role as a wife, Lucky remains baffled at the idea of being married to an obese girl. Taking advantage of this situation, Lucky’s family members choose to make Gundamma’s life extremely difficult.

As the story moves forward, the upcoming weeks’ episodes of Brahmagantu will see Gundamma Geetha, a familiar name in every Kannada-speaking household, decide to take up the challenge of learning Kabaddi, inspired by her father-in-law Narasimhanna, essayed by TS Nagabharana. Constantly shunned by her state-level Kabaddi champion husband Lucky for being obese, Gundamma will use this as the perfect opportunity to try her hand at the man’s sport, determined to win her husband’s heart.

Intrinsically, Kabaddi, as a sport, is very close to the hearts of the Karnataka audience. As the storyline for Brahmagantu progresses, we strive to showcase Gundamma’s strength as a Kabaddi player keeping her other attributes unchanged. Whether Lucky will learn to value Gundamma is something that viewers will witness as the story unfolds."
