Principal uploads defamatory messages of girl, arrested
Town police have arrested a Principal of Government First Grade College for allegedly uploading defamatory pictures and messages of a girl in the social media, in the taluk on Friday.
The accused is Jayannagowda, who had allegedly uploaded the photos and circulated messages about the girl on WhatsApp. The girl’s father, who is one of the college employees has lodged a complaint at Belur police station.
According to the complaint, he had claimed that the Principal had purposefully shared the messages to humiliate his family and sought action against him.
It is said that the Principal and the employee had difference of opinion. So, the former had used social media to defame the family.
