Mumbai, Feb.22: Dr. Sonia Sethi Additional Director of Commerce, Industry & Foreign Trade, Govt.  ಮುಂಬಯಿ, ಫೆ.22: ಇಂದಿಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಬಯಿನ ವಲ್ರ್ಡ್‍ಟ್ರೆಡ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಜರುಗಿದ 7ನೇ ಆಥಿರ್üಕ ಶೃಂಗಸಭಾ (ಎಕಾನಾಮಿಕ್ ಸುಮಿತ್) ತುಳುಕನ್ನಡಿಗ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ, ಬೊಂಬೇ ಬಂಟ್ಸ್ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಶನ್‍ನ ಮಾಜಿ ಗೌರವ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸರ್ವೋತ್ಕೃಷ್ಟ ಉತ್ಪಾದಕ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಪ್ರದಾನಿಸಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮದಲ್ಲಿನ ಉತ್ತಮ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಸೇವೆ ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಸರ್ವೋತ್ಕೃಷ್ಟ ಉತ್ಪಾದಕ (ಎಕ್ಸಲೆಂಟ್ ಸರ್ವಿಸ್ ಇನ್ ಮ್ಯಾನ್ಯುಫ್ಯಾಕ್ಛರ್) ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಭಾಜನರಾದ  ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ ಪ್ರದಾನ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿüಯಾಗಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ, ಉದ್ಯಮ ಮತ್ತು ವಿದೇಶ ಉದ್ದಿಮೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕಿ ಡಾ| ಸೊನಿಯಾ ಸೆÉೀಥಿs ಅವರು ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಫಲಕ, ಮಾನ್ಯತಾಪತ್ರ ಪ್ರದಾನಿಸಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಉದ್ಯಮ ಸಚಿವ ಸುರೇಶ್ ಪ್ರಭು ಮತ್ತಿತರ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಘಟಕ- ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಸಂಧ್ಯಾ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ವಿಭಾಗವು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಾತೃಭಾಷಾ ದಿನದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ನಗರದ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಶಿವರಾಮ ಕಾರಂತ ಸಭಾಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡ “ಸಾಂಜ್ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ” ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮೊದಲ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ “ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಲೋಕವೇದಾಂತು ಗುಮಟಾಚೊ ವಾಪಾರ್” ಎನ್ನುವ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸÀ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾತ್ಯಕ್ಷಿಕೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತ್ತು. 

ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯ ಖ್ಯಾತ ಸಂಗೀತಗಾರ ಜೊಯೆಲ್ ಪಿರೇರಾರವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಮ್ಮಟದ ಬಳಕೆಯ ವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾತ್ಯಕ್ಷಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಸವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯ ಲೋಕವೇದವು ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲೇ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದು ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿರುವದು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕøತಿಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿರುವ ಗುಮ್ಮಟವೇ ಆಗಿದೆಯೆಂದರು.  ಪೋರ್ಚುಗೀಸರು ಗೋವಾಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ಮುನ್ನ ಅಂದರೆ 1540 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕೊಂಕಣಿಗರು ಗುಮ್ಮಟವನ್ನು ಬಳಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಇದರ ತಯಾರಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಕಷ್ಟಕರವಾದ ಕೆಲಸವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಬೇಟೆ ಅಪರಾಧವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಗುಮ್ಮಟ ತಯಾರಿಕೆಗೆ ಬಳಸುವ ಉಡದ ಚರ್ಮದ ಲಭ್ಯತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದ ಈ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ವಾದ್ಯಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಶಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆಯೆನ್ನುವದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಮುಂದುವರೆದು ಅವರು “ಗೊಂಯ್ ಸಾಂಡುನ್ ಆಯ್ಲಿ ಮಾಂಯ್” ಮತ್ತು “ಆಡ್ಕುಲೊರೆ ಬುಡ್ಕುಲೊ ತೆಲಾ ತುಪಾಚೊ” ಎನ್ನುವ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ನರ ಗುಮ್ಮಟದ ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ರಾಗಬದ್ದವಾಗಿ ಗುಮ್ಮಟದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಾರಿಸುವದನ್ನು ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಸಂಧ್ಯಾ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ಸುಭಾಷಿಣಿ ಶ್ರೀವತ್ಸರವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಕಣಿಗರು ಹೋಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರೆ ಹಬ್ಬ-ಹರಿದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕøತಿಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಗುಮ್ಮಟವನ್ನು ಬಾರಿಸಿ ನರ್ತಿಸುವದು ವಿಶೇಷ ಜನಪದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಇದರ ಪ್ರಾತ್ಯಕ್ಷಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಮುಂದಿನ ತಲೆಮಾರಿಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದರು. 

ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಡಾ. ಅರವಿಂದ ಶ್ಯಾನಭಾಗ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಬರುವ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾತ್ಮಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಷಾಂತರ ಮತ್ತು ಲಿಪ್ಯಂತರ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರ, ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸುಗಮ ಸಂಗೀತ ಕಮ್ಮಟವನ್ನು ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಪೀಠದ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲಾಗುವದೆಂದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಮನ್ವಯಕಾರರಾದ ಫಾ. ಮೈಕೆಲ್ ಸಾಂತುಮಯೆರ್ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಕನ್ಸೆಪ್ಟಾ ಫರ್ನಾಂಡೀಸ್ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.

T20 Mumbai League Ambassador, Sachin Tendulkar hails Mumbai as Heart of Indian Cricket  

Pulsating cricket action set to kick-off at Wankhede Stadium from 11th – 21st March  

Mumbai, 22nd February, 2018: With a fortnight to go for the much-awaited T20 Mumbai League, Sachin Tendulkar, League Ambassador was part of a celebratory atmosphere at Taj Lands End today. Mumbai’s very own internationally acclaimed cricketing legend encouraged participation and spoke on the upcoming league, and the importance of such platforms for aspiring young Mumbai cricketers. 

Probability Sports India Private Limited, a consortium of Probability Sports and Wizcraft, hosted this event in the presence of distinguished guests including Ashish Shelar, President, Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA); Yatin Shah, Founder and Executive Director - IIFL Investment Managers; and Kadar Makani, CEO - Probability Sports. 

The city-based T20 Mumbai League, conducted with the approval and sanction of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) and under its aegis, is a much-awaited sporting event with six teams participating in the inaugural season. The league is scheduled to take place between 11th and 21st March 2018 at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. The teams will be from Mumbai North, Mumbai North-West, Mumbai North-East, Mumbai North-Central, Mumbai South-Central, and Mumbai South. Invitation to Bid for team ownership was conducted recently, and successful bidders will be announced after a detailed evaluation of the bids. 

Speaking on the occasion, Ashish Shelar, President, Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) said, “The T20 Mumbai League is a fantastic platform to blend established, and promote budding cricket stars of Mumbai. The Mumbai Cricket Association is happy to organise and promote this league where our Mumbaikar players get an opportunity to demonstrate their caliber of cricket and get acknowledged in front of home crowds. The interest from players from across the city is immense; clearly, countdown to the commencement of the league has begun!”

Sachin Tendulkar, League Ambassador said, “Being associated with the T20 Mumbai League and motivating these young players is an honour for me. The Mumbai brand of cricket is iconic, and has stood the test of time through decades. This being home, Mumbai has a very special place in my heart. Training, supporting and preparing emerging cricketers through platforms such as the T20 Mumbai League will help Mumbai and also India stay on the top in cricket. This league is definitely the beginning of a beautiful tomorrow!” 

Yatin Shah, Founder and Executive Director - IIFL Investment Managers said, “IIFL is delighted to support Probability Sports, an organization which is managing a large scale league such as the T20 Mumbai League.
