Udupi: The National Students Union of India Udupi district has condemned the rape of a 7-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh and demanded death penalty for the accused.

“Crimes against women and girl child in India have been rising despite tougher laws. As per the NCRB data Madhya Pradesh tops for most number of rape cases. It is really shameful. Madhya Pradesh State can be called as rape capital, the chief minister Shivaraj Singh Chouhan led BJP govt has failed completely to provide security to women and girls in the state”.

“When it comes to rape case, no excuses need to be made irrespective of religion, cast, creed, and the culprits need to be given death penalty. The state government should give justice to the minor girl for giving the top punishment to the culprit”.

Christan D’Almedia

 District President

NSUI Udupi
