Youths stranded in Kuwait to be brought back soon: MLA Kamath

Managaluru: “Thirty-five youths from Mangaluru who had gone to Kuwait for employment and were cheated are suffering in Kuwait for the last six months. Arrangements are being made to bring them back soon,” said MLA Vedavyasa Kamath speaking at a press conference held at BJP office in Mangaluru.

“I have spoken to them several times. I have assured them that I will bring them back to Mangaluru. Air tickets are arranged for them and they will be back in Mangaluru soon,” he informed.

“Discussions are already held about them with officials of Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I have spoken constantly with minister Sadananda Gowda and MP Nalin Kumar. Final phase of work to bring them back is in progress. Action will be taken by clearing the hurdles soon,” said Mr Kamath.

“Manikya Associates, the job placement company which had promised jobs to the youth in Kuwait has said that it will bear the cost of bringing the youths back. As air tickets are arranged, the problem will be solved in a few days,” he informed.
