Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations Maharasht ra Met Sharad Pawar

Mumbai (RBI), Dec.24: Federation of Hotels and Restaurant Associations Maharashtra’s President A delegation headed by Dr. Shankar B.Shetty Virar met Sharad Pawar at his Silver Oak residence in Mahalaxmi and was convinced of the problems faced by the hotel industry.

The delegation included the Federation’s Vice President Bharat Shetty Ghatkopar, Hon’ble General Secretary Shyama N.Shetty, Hon’ble Treasurer Durgaprasad C.Saliyan, Treasurer Babu S.Shetty Malad, Advisory Committee Chairman Kalattoor Viswanath Shetty and Businessman Niranjan Shetty were present.

Regarding the timing of Restaurant, Vaccination fine and FLIII License fee. We would like to bring to you kind notice that the entire Hotel Industry business in Maharashtra is in deteriorated and in distress condition due to the corona pandemic for last two years.

We need your support in solving some of the issues pertaining to the hotel industry in Maharashtra.

In most of the Municipal council and Municipal Corporation there is a time restrictions for conducting the business. They are allowing till only 12:00 am whereas the Government of Maharashtra had issued Government ordinance to conduct the business till 1:30 a.m. We request you to support us to allow the business till 1:30 am.

Government of Maharashtra has issued Government ordinance to collect a fine of  Rs.10,000/- from the owner if any customer is not yet fully vaccinated. This is causing embarrassment to the owner of the restaurant. And in most of the cases the owner is fined for the fault of the customer. We request you to help us in removing the government ordinance in the said matter.

Due to the restrictions to conduct the business and also the constraint of conducting the business at 50% capacity of the restaurant it is impossible to pay 100% FLIII excises licensed fees for the entire year in advance. Hence we request you to do help us in paying on 50% excises License fees for the year 2022-2023
