Print Udupi : Indian Medical Association Udupi – Karavali Branch and Dental Association doctors staged silence protest on Saturday, 7th January, 2017 at near the Clock Tower here in Udupi against the attack on doctors by Ananthakumar Hegde, Uttar Kannada MP at a hospital in Sirsi recently.
Dr. P. V. Bhandary Director of Dr. B. V. Baiiga Memorial Hospital, Udupi said that there were several attacks on resident doctors now and then taking place which most concern for the doctors who providing medical services at large. We strongly condemn the attack on duty doctors by one who safe guard the Indian Constitution and public leader which shame for us the citizens. Those who protect the law in the society brake the law and taking law in their hands. If there would mistake with doctors, file the case, but it would be not fair to assault on doctors.
He also said that there would be no security for the doctors. The police at Sirsi not able to arrest the culprit and due to the pressure filed FIR on Ananthakumar Hegde.
Later, Indian Medical Association and other official doctors were handed over memo to the Home Minister of Karnataka State through the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Udupi district at D. C. office, Rajathadri, Manipal
Dr. P. V. Bhandary, Dr. Madhusoodan Nayak, Dr. Murlidhar Patil, Dr. Venkatesh Shanbaug, Dr. Y. S. Rao, Dr. Harish Nayak, Dr, Sanjay Udupa, Dr. R. N. Bhat, Dr. D’Lima and other among were present during the protest as well as at the DC office.

ಇಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಅಜ್ಜರಕಾಡು ಉಡುಪಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಸಮಾಜಸೇವಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರಾದ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಒಳಕಾಡು ಇವರು ಇಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಕರಾದ ಡಾ. ಎಚ್.ಅಶೋಕ್ ಇವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಕೆಲವು ಉಪಯುಕ್ತ ಸಾಮಾಗ್ರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
