Udupi : Milagres Cathedral Kallianpur observed Vespers’, and eve of annual feast evening with Word of Lord” on Tuesday, 17^th January, 2017.

The Vespers’ evening began with evening prayers with Rosary of Mother Mary in the Cathedral. Rev Fr. Victor Fernandes Capuchin, Superior of Capuchins Friary, Brahamavar and Principal of Milagres English Medium Schools blessed the Cheryl followed by Cheryl procession through the street of Kallianpur to Milagres Cathedral.

The evening Vespers prayers led by Rev Fr. Victor Fernandes along with deanery priests, parishioner priests, former priests, Very Rev Fr. Stany Tauro Dean of Shirva Deanery, former priest Rev Fr. Paul Prakash, Rev Fr. Vashant Cornelio of Mount Rosary parish were present.

During in his homily Fr. Victor Fernandes pointed out about the role of Our Lady Mother Mary in our families and through Mother Mary the Word of God. Meanwhile the role of Mother Mary in the Holy Church has been great.  Our Lady who was granted the dignity of being the Mother of God is also the favoured daughter of the Father and the temple of Holy Spirit. Mary’s threefold relationship with the divine persons is confirmed in precise words and with a description of the characteristic relationship which links the Mother of the Lord to the Church. The immeasurable greatness of the Lord’s Mother therefore remains a gift of God’s Love for all of us.

The Word of God is complete, not giving back. The Word of God will increase our faith and complete our faith. The World of God supports us to increase services and the Word of God will helps to unite in our neighbor. The Word of God help to us to become better leader and makes us better Christian.

After the homily brief Adoration of Blessed Sacrament held with much devotion and fervor by Fr. Victor. At the end of the Adoration of Blessed Sacrament, Very Fr. Stany B. Lobo placed the brief announcements.

To support severe environment pollution control, this year also fire crackers show did not take place. Devotees greeted each other on the occasion of annual feast. Youth of the parish organized various games including popular housie housie game. Year by year the crowd of the evening increases and thousands participated in the celebrations of eve of Annual Parish feast 2017. Large number of people offered with lighting the candles in front of historical Statue of Our Lady of Miracles.
