Udupi : The Revenue Department under rules 94C and 94CC will pass orders on the issue of title deeds in respect of agricultural land and house sites that have been encroached to beneficiaries, said Kagodu Thimmappa Minister of Revenue, Karnataka State.

He was addressing during the meeting held while reviewing the revenue department forms 50,53,94C and 94CC in the Deputy Commissioner of Udupi district office, Rajathadri, Manipal here on Thursday, 9^th March, 2017, he said the orders will come to the benefit of applicants who applied for the title deeds of agricultural and house sites. The surplus government land will be identified under the special rights act and distributed among beneficiaries.

He said the cabinet sub-committee is conducting review of Kumki and deemed forest land and decision will be taken within fifteen days. The Supreme Court has declared that Kumki land belongs to the government and so circular will be sent in this regard. The instructions have to be implemented in Toto thereafter, he said.

Minister said now under Forest Rights Act  jurisdictional forest committees to receive applications is possible. Already a circular to exempt pasture has been sent. He said all the Tahsildars should read it carefully and follow the instructions. The applications will be accepted even though the eligible beneficiaries not submitted their application yet due to ignorance.

A revised order on Gomala land has been formulated and has been circulated to the district administration for effective implementation, said Priyaka Mary Francis DC. A circular on Gomala has been sent to the Tahsildars across the state and the same has to effectively implement.

Discussions on Podi free villages, pension adalat, social security programmes, surveyors, approval of posts, and reservation of land for students’ hostels were held at the meeting. Meanwhile Pramod Madhwaraj District in-charge minister, Vinay Kumar Sorake, Haladi Srinivas Shetty and Gopal Poojary all MLA’s brought to the notice of the revenue minister Akrama Sakrama committee sittings and problems of people under his jurisdiction.

Priyanka Mary Francis Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner Anuradha, Shilpa Nag Assistant Commissioner, Askok Kumar Shetty, tahsildars, taluk panchayat executive officers and district level officers were present in the meeting.
