Udupi : The Kallianpur Deanery of Udupi diocese level get together of Religious was held at Milagres Tri-centenary Hall, Kallianpur near here on Wednesday, 29^th March, 2017.

The Resource person of the day was Rev Fr. Baptist Menezes Junior of Mangalore Diocese. The day began with invocation prayers held by Rev Fr. Nelson Furtado.

After the introduction of various religious men and women held with something different, Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo Bishop of Udupi Diocese placed his opinion in regard to the proposed get together of religious people of the Kallianpur Deanery.

In his address Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo said that this is the programme to utilize the strength of religious for the diocese as well as deanery. Such get together would share activities among religious people in deanery level. This opportunity would stand together in prayer which will be to build community as well. It will be necessary to build God’s Kingdom which God is Superior. In order to keep in our mind that such get together of religious men and women can share our ministries with prayer and Christ’s mission.

He said that these get together of religious will help for the vision of Christ in diocesan pastoral plan in deanery as well as parishes of the deanery which need to support and guidance. It will helpful to encourage, support and guidance in parish level as well as deanery. We have to continue our mission of Jesus Christ in parishes.

Earlier Very Rev. Fr. Stany B. Lobo Rector of Milagres Cathedral, Dean of Kallianpur Deanery and Convener of the programme welcomed the gatherings. Rev Fr. Herald Periera, Director of SCC commission of Udupi diocese as well as resident priest of Kemmannu conducted the various games and activities during the programme. Rev Fr. Prakash Anil Castelino Campus Director of Milagres College and Asst. Parish priest of Cathedral and Rolwin Aranha guided to successful grand programme.

Around 76 religious men and women like Deanery priests, religious priests, deacons and students of various congregations, various congregation nuns were present.
