GRAND CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION - Lions Branding on Local train

LIONS BRANDING ON LOCAL TRAIN: 7th June 2017. The day was for the Centennial Celebration of Lions Clubs International, the world’s  No. 1 NGO in Humanitarian Services, serving to community for 100 years since 1917 all over the world in 210 countries. What an amazing  journey  it was !

All Lions were gathered together on 7th June 2017 in the evening at CST Railway station, Mumbai to celebrate 100th Happy Birthday of
Lionism.  A wonderful & stupendous Image Building initiative was excellently  executed  by Powerful Lions District 3231 A2  &  was
organised by Lion Sangita Kasliwal, District Chairperson, Image Building, states Mala Shetty.

The dignitaries gracing the function were Guest of Honours Lion Dr. Naresh Agarwal, First International President, Lion Rohit Mehta,
Past International President, Lion Aruna Oswal, International Director, Lion Vijaykumar Raju, International Director, Lion Narendra
Bhandari, Past International Director, Lion Premchand Bafana, Past International Director, Lion Neville Mehta, ISSAME Secretary,  Lion
Subhash Bhalwal, District Governor & MCC (2017-18),from Navi Mumbai , Lion Hanuman Agarwal , District Governor ( elect) 2017-
18, Lion K.J. Paul, 1st Vice District Governor (elect) 2017-18, Lion Maneshwar Nayak, 2nd Vice District Governor ( elect) 2017-18,  Lion
Omi Arora & Lion Rajesh Mehrra, Past District Governors  & Mrs. Zenobia Kaikobad, LCIF Grants .   There were more than 100
members at CST station from Mumbai & Navi Mumbai, also students who did perform and waved Lions logo  flags.                                                                                                                                            

The Local train was painted & well decorated with Lions Logos & some Legacy Projects & Activities  like -  Celebrating
100  years of  Humanitarian Services.,  Vision – Lions have provided support to 7.84 million people for sight restoring,
ataract surgeries., Umbrella Project – Big size Umbrellas distribution to needy people to protect from heat & rains.,
Measles & Rubella Vaccine – Lions Measles initiative for poor & needy., Diabetes – Lions are committed to control Diabetes
in this Centennial year. says Ln Hanuman Agarwal.

The flag off ceremony was done  by Lion Dr. Naresh Agarwal, First International Vice President & the Local train started it’s
journey from CST  ( Mumbai)  to  Thane at 4.17 p.m. Dr. Naresh Agarwal thinks that it’s the perfect time to give a good start to another
journey of Lionism.  This train will run on central railway track for one month from 7th June 2017 To 7th July 2017.

This is an exceptionally  rare  accomplishment  & this is the Tribute to 100 years of Lionism by Lions District 3231A2.   May
this milestone begins a new phase of Service opportunities & opens up the doors to a promising future with hope.
