Udupi : When all people of religions and communities are living in harmony and peace in Udupi district,  Sri Rama Sene founder leader Pramod Muthalik is trying to disrupt the peace in the district, said Vishwas Amin, District President of Youth Congress.

Addressing to media persons at Press Club on 27^th June, 2017,, he said that with the intention of equality and harmony with the people in Udupi, Paryaya Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji was organized Iftar Sauhardha Koota on the last day of fasting for Muslims at the premises near to Sri Krishna Math.

On as per the planning of Sri Rama Sene will hold protest against the Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji’s initiative to host Iftar Sauharda Koota for Muslims, Youth Congress strongly condemn the plan of protest against the Swamiji. Pejawar Smamiji has been a spiritual guide to the nation and his initiative is to live in peace and prosperity. Youth Congress warns of counter protest if the Sri Rama Sene continues to plan of protest against the Swamiji.

Even though there is much communal violence in D.K. district, such violence not witnessed in Udupi district. Udupi district people of all communities who live since several decades with peace and communal harmony and people of Udupi are peace lovers. But Pramod Muthalik people are trying to disrupt peace and communal unrest by blowing small matters out of proportion.

Pejawar Swamiji always the protector of Hindu religion. Meanwhile he has affection and respect towards other religion also. The Muslim community has contributed a lot to Sri Krishna Math and we are strongly condemning Pramod Muthalik for blaming Muslims as cow slaughterers and thieves. The right of food is their choice. No one given Muthalik the right to decide the food of others which Muthalik must understand. We welcome the attitude of Pejawar Swamiji regarding hosting the Iftar Sauhardha get together with Muslim community. Pejawar Swamiji has famous for his revolutionary act. His initiative  for visiting Dalit colonies which appreciated one. Muslims also the citizens of India and they have also right to live. The Muslim community has contributed a lot to Sri Krishna Math, he said.

Pramod Muthalic has trying to put poison seed among the two communities. Sri Rama Sene should not biased with one religion and should respect all the religions similarly. He should seek pardon from the Pejawar Swamiji and if Sri Rama Sene continues to organize protest on 2^nd July, the Youth Congress will hold a massive counter protest, Vishwas Amin said.

Abdul Aziz State Youth Congress General Secretary, Vignesh Kini Udupi district Youth Congress General Secretary, Kaup Youth Congress Vice President Santhosh, Deeraj and other officials were present during the press meet.

Later the district Youth Congress delegation visited Pejawar Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji in Sri Krishna Math and offered their support.
