Print Grotto of Saint Mother Theresa Inaugurated at Kemmannu Church.
Kemmannu,July 30, 2017: Newly constructed Grotto dedicated to Saint Mother Theresa was inaugurated at Kemmannu Church compound on Sunday, July 30, 2017 after the mass. The Beautifully constructed Grotto sponsored by Mr. Jason Andrade and Family in memory of their late parents Mr. Xavier and Magdalene Andrade of Dream Boat Padukudru, Kemmannu was inaugurated by Master Avin Andrade, son of Jason Andrade in the presence of Parish Priest Fr. Victor D Souza and Immediate past Priest of the Church Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves.
Fr. Ferdinand in whose tenure when Mr. Jason Andrade, a devotee of Mother Theresa envisaged interest to construct the Grotto led the Sunday mass along with Parish Priest Fr. Victor D Souza and blessed the Grotto after its inauguration. Members of the Andrade Family along with the Parishioners were present on the occasion.
Mr. Archibold and Nikhil Menezes planned and constructed the beautiful Grotto, where the 5 feet statue of Saint Mother Theresa is installed is well appreciated by all who were present on the occasion.
On the occasion Catholic Sabha, Kemmannu unit distributed tree saplings to Parishioners on the occasion of celebrating the Vanamahotsava. Fr. Victor and Fr. Ferdinand planted a sapling each and lead the ball rolling in creating a green environment in response to the call given by his holiness Pope Francis.
