Udupi : Ayurvedic system is national asset. We should keep Ayurvedic system of medicines which can be permanently getting solution. It may be in slow process, but the patients can get advantage from the Ayurvedic medicines, said Pramod Madhwaraj, Minister of State for Fisheries, Youth Empowerment and Sports.

He was speaking after the inaugurating “International Ayurvedic Day” at District Hospital campus on Tuesday, 17^th October, 2017. He said that in Rs.1.8o crores within two months Ayurvedic Hospital new building will be opened and I hope from next year the International Ayurvedic Day will be celebrated in the new building itself.

The system of Ayurvedic existed since oldest generation in India. There are various versions in Ramayana and Mahabarath books on Ayurvedic system existence and practices. But in present situation, only 10% remained Ayurvedic system and remaining 90% other medicines. The state governments as well as central government should give more support and importance to Ayurvedic system of medicines and also support to the research of newly Ayurvedic medicines especially for new diseases.

Speaking on the occasion, Priyanka Mary Francis, Deputy Commissioner of Udupi district said that more foreigners specially attracted Yoga and other in relate to health matters than Indians. Diseases like cold, paralysis, one can go for Ayurvedic system for good result. Ayurvedic system giving good result even though it has slow process of getting good.

Sheela K Shetty Vice President of Zilla Panchayat also spoke during the occasion and said that the contribution of Ayurvedic system to the World is large and great. The people should faith in Ayurvedic system of medicines even though the solution of diseases very slow but it is giving good result.

Dinakar Babu, President of Zilla Panchayat, Meenakshi Madhwav Bannanje President of CMC, Dr. Sanjeev Patil Superintendent of Police, Alakananda district Ayurvedic official, Dr. Madhusudan Nayak District Surgeon were present on the dais.
