Print Udupi : Speaking to media persons at the Circuit House prior to the inauguration of Koosamma Shambhu Shetty Memorial Haji Abdulla Maternity and Child Hospital here on Sunday, 19th November, the Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiha said that in regard to KPME Act, we don have any intention to harass or restrict the private doctors. Our intention is to help for the poor.
Asked quarries, who won in talks held between doctors and the government, he said that neither government nor doctors, but ultimately poor patients of the state won during the talks on them.
Asked on the alleged privatization of the Udupi government hospital for maternity and child care, he said that the hospital is completely government, but run by the private party.
To a question on inaugurating the hospital with hurry, he said that we are not inaugurating the hospital in a hurry. Those people who imagines it is in a hurry seemed to have completely misunderstood.
In relate to question of reports about the state proceeding towards liquor ban, Siddaramiaha said that we have no such proposal nor we think about that.
Asked on the allegation that he never visited Sri Krishna Math as chief minister even though he visited earlier, chief minister said that once I had visited Sri Krishna Math. More than six crore people of Karnataka state have good relation with him including Pejawar Swamiji. I have no any enmity with Pejawar Swamiji nor I am not against the Math. BJP used this issue in their Parivarthana rally which would be their disadvantage.
The Chief Minister Siddaramiaha received guard of honor from the Udupi district Police as soon as his arrival to Circuit House.
Meenakshi Madhav Bannanje CMC President, Janardhan Tnonse President of Udupi district Congress Committee and other Congress leaders were present during the arrival of the chief minister.
