Udupi : During the discussion on Sri Ram Temple issue on the first day of the Dharma Sansad here, Sants and Sadhus were very clear that the temple should be built at Ayodhya only and we do not want any bargain on the issue, said Champath Rai, International Secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).

He was speaking at a press meet held at Dharma Sansad Media Center here on Friday, 24^th November, Champat Rai said that Sadhus and Sants do not want to bargain on the issue of Ayodhya even though including Sri Ravishanker Guruji or any other’s mediation.. Here, bargaining means no to another mosque, tower or cultural centre at the Ramjanmbhoomi and also no to any mosque in the name of Babar in the country as well. It is the decision of Sants and Sadhus on Ram Mandir to come up at the Ramjanmabhoomi, he said.

He also said that Sri Ravishanker is an eminent holy leader and we respect him. We never told to him to make bargain, but he is doing on his own. Sri Ravishanker is expected to participate in the final day of Dharma Sansad here on Sunday, he said.

It seemed possible to built Ram Mandir after several years’ efforts and sacrifice while the matter was in the Supreme Court. Once again we would like to say that Ram Mandir will be constructed at the same site at Ayodhya at any cost. We believe that Sri Ram lived and still exists in Ram Janmabhoomi. It is the matter of faith which is also law. We also are going to install his idol at the same place at Ayodhya itself.

He said that the first Dharma Sansad was held in 1984 at Delhi Vijyan Bhavan, the second Dharma Sansad held in Udupi in 1985 and their summit was held in 1989 at Allahabad. Now presently is the 15^th Dharma Sansad being held in Udupi. The Sadhus and sants belonging to various communities arrived here and they should understand the existing problems which are being organized to overcome such problems.

He said that untouchability is like Kalakoota poinson which is still practice. This practice should be eliminated from the society, then it should become free from all social evils.

He said that Sants and Sadhus were not in favour of government control of Hindu temples and mutts. A case in point being that of Parthasarathy Temple in Guruvayoor, Kerala. The offerings made in the temples are offering of devotees to God. It will the asset of offering places and not to the government, Champath Rai said.

He said that in Karnataka on the Lingayat – Veerashiva controversy, he said that there are internal matters will be discussed among ourselves. He further said that in October 2018, the construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya will starts. Supreme court will decide on the basis of law.
