Udupi :  Anupama Shenoy, former Deputy Superintendent of Police now turned politician is likely to contest from Kaup legislative assembly constituency in the coming assembly election. Earlier she was announced of contesting from Kudligi constituency.

Speaking with local Kannada daily, Anupama Shenoy said that earlier she had chosen Kudligi where she had earned will popularity as an honest officer, after finding out that this happens to be reserved constituency and she was forced to change her mind and chosen her home place Kaup Constituency.

She already has undertaken door-to – door campaigning in Kaup constituency and she found that large number of youths stands for her support to contest in Kaup constituency.

She was resigned from the Police department due to friction with the system. Now, she floated ‘Bharatiya Janashakti Congress’ which will get recognition from the election commission of India by January end.

She said that Kaup is her birth place and most of the people knew her very well and expecting more support from the local people. I also think that there will be scope for contest in two legislative constituencies. So I will also contest either Ballari or Hospet constituencies.

She wants to field candidates in all 224 assembly constituencies of Karnataka. She will try to field youth candidates in the election. She will prefer candidates who work for the poor people with conscience. Every candidates should open atleast 100 whatsApp groups from each candidates and it will easier to convey favourable messages. Her basic objectives of the party will be spelt out ending corruption, eradication of untouchability, pro-women stand and environmental protection. She will campaign all legislative constituencies of the state. She looks forward the dream of Mahatma Gandhiji.

She said she will prefer to campaign 15 days in home place at Kaup and other 15 days will spend in other parts of Karnataka state.

She said actually the construction of Ram Mandir is difficult. Like every time due to the election, BJP raising the issue of constructing Ram Mandir which will be I believe election gimmick as usual. It is also the major parities brings the religion and caste issues. BJP has producing all these issues and Congress continuing it. The politicians should give free hand to police to handle on these issues.

She said Yeddyurappa and Vijay Sankeswar failed in their ambition forming their own party that she continued the parties which someone had started and these people continued it. That’s why both are failed in their former parties.
