Udupi : The bridge over Suvarna river linking Manipal will be completed before 15^th February, 2018, said Pramod Madhwaraj, District In-charge Minister and MLA of Udupi Constituency

During the Udupi Legislative constituency review meeting with officials at Udupi Taluk Office Hall here on Saturday, 30^thDecember, 2017, Pramod Madhwaraj said that including the linking Manipal on Suvarna River bridge two K.M.  bridges at the cost of Rs. 30.98 crores were completed and four job numbers at the cost of Rs. 20.45 crores are on progress and eight job numbers at the cost of Rs. 27.25 crores sanctioned. Total Rs. 78.68 crores will be spent for the construction of bridges in the district from 8^th May 2013 to 20^th December, 2017.

From 8^th May 2013 to 20^th December, 2017 altogether Rs. 818.47 crores in the Udupi constituency has sanctioned for the development in various fields like Road development, bridges, buildings, school and colleges buildings, water distribution projects, SCP-TSP, Malpe Beach development, fishing jetties, hospital buildings and others.

All patches up works on the road in Municipal limits will be completed within one week. Minister asked the officials NH between Manipal to Parkala and Adi Udupi to Malpe should be completed at the earliest. The problem of land acquisition should be sorted out immediately, he said.

PWD officials said that before January end all the PWD works to be completed prior to January end. Minister said to all the officials that any pending works should be completed before 15^th February which election is around the corner. Rs. 515.80 crores of developmental works were completed, Rs. 139.40 crores of developmental works is in progress and Rs. 163.27 crores of developmental works is sanctioned. Total Rs. 818.47 crores of developmental works undertaken for the Udupi legislative constituency from 8^th May 2013 to 20^th December, 2017, Pramod Madhwaraj said.

Municipal Commissioner Manjunathaiah and other all departments’ officials were present during the review meeting.
