BJP stages ’Jail Bharo’ agitation over Siddaramaiah’s statement on terror

Udupi : The Udupi district Bharatiya Janata Party workers staged a jail bharo agitation near Brahmagiri Circle near here on Saturday, 13th January, 2018 against chief minister Siddaramiah’s statement calling the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha (RSS) and BJP members as terrorists.


Addressing the protestors, Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde, District President of BJP strongly condemned the Siddaramaiah against his statement on RSS and BJP as terrorists. He said Congress supporting the Muslim outfits that Muslim organization various criminal leaders set off free from the jail by the congress government as soon as assumed the office in Karnataka. After that several Hindu youths have been brutally killed. Siddaramaih’s anti Hindu policies not worked.

Mattar said we are ashamed to call Chief Minister Siddaramaiah that he has insulted the Hindu religion being a Hindu. His intention has to divide the community in order to gain political benefit. Prior to any party programmes, BJP singing the national anthem. RSS has been maintaining the security of the country. His substandard statement on RSS and BJP has not tolerable.


He warned the Siddaramaih and congress government that RSS and BJP were given qurbani sacrifice to the nation. In future do not give irresponsible statement on RSS and BJP for the political gain. Congress party was supported the Khalisthan Movement of Sikhs and Indira Gandhi supported the terrorism by the Sikhs, he said.


Kota Srinivas Poojary said Siddaramiah does not know the meaning of RSS. He does not k now the contribution of Hindu outfits for the security of the country. RSS has been defending the nation with security. Mahatma Gandhiji also knew about the RSS. Jawaharlal Nehru also allowed the march past by the RSS during the Republic Day parade at New Delhi. It is not possible to tide the RSS by the Congress. BJP is working to build the nation, but Congress is dividing the community and the nation as well, he said.

Sheela K. Shetty, Zilla Vice President also spoke during the protest meet. Raghupathy Bhat and Lalaji Mendon former MLAs, Uday Kumar Shetty, State BJP executive member, Kuyladi Suresh Shetty, Kuthyaru Suresh Nayak, Shreesha Nayak, Akshath Shetty, Roshan Shetty, Shyamala Kundar, Dinakar Babu and other leaders were present.


The protestors holding placards raised slogans against the Chief Minister Siddaramaiha and tried to gherao Congress office situated nearby at Brahmagiri, but timely intervention of Police, the protesters were not able to break police barricades’ and most of the protesters arrested.  But top leaders were not arrested and only some leaders were put on in the waiting police vehicle.
