Udupi : Including Udupi Municipality, all the gram panchayat development officials and other officials should get ready to overcome the shortage of drinking water in respective areas, said Pramod Madhwaraj, District in-charge Minister.

Chairing a review meeting with PDO’s and other officials at Udupi Taluk Panchayat Hall here on Tuesday, 13^th March, Pramod Madahwarj said the all officials of the government concerned should bear in mind that the shortage of drinking water should be sorted out with various measures and pre – planning of solution of the drinking water should be done.

He said there are complaints from some of the people that some of the areas in the Udupi legislative constituency, there is shortage of drinking water. In case, PDO’s or officials making politics in regard to distribution of the drinking water found, such officials and PDO’s are responsible for failures in distributing the drinking water.  He told to PDO’s that where tanker water is needed, such areas should supply water through tanker water. It is not fair that the dried wells filling with tanker water and later distributing water from the well. He ordered to distribute water directly by tanker to the water needy people of the constituency.

Pramod Madhwaraj taken view from the PDO’s and other officials about the land rights letters, ration card distribution, Deen Dayal Grameena Electricity supply project individually and demands solution if any cases of difficulty at the earliest.

He said land rights letters will be distributed to deemed forest areas residents. There should not be need to complications in regard to distributing land rights to deemed forest areas residents.

He told to officials that it is good that giving free electricity to poor people. In regard to distributing the ration card, the concerned officials should distribute the ration cards as soon as possible. The Village Accountants should work passively in order to help the poor people.
