Various Trade Union workers staged protest against the policies of Union Government

Udupi : The various workers Trade unions, JCTU, CITU, AITUC, AIIEA, AIBEA, BEH and BSNLU staged protest against the Union Government on Thursday, 15th March, 2018 at War Memorial, Ajjarkad here.
The all unions afflicted workers started procession from near the Board High School, Service Bus stand here the procession culminated in front of War Memorial, Ajjarkad here.
Addressing to protestors, Admar Sripaty Acharya said that the situation in the country day by day worse under NDA rule. The union government is against the workers, farmers and the people of the country. Due to demonetization and the system of GST, lots of workers lost the job and destroyed the employment.
In response to national level agitation against the Union Government, one day protest was held all over the country on 15th March. The government should control the price rise, should make public food rationing system strong and ban illegal trading in the country. In order to solve the problem of unemployment, necessary steps should to increase the employment. All labour laws should be make strict and those who violating labour laws should be punished.
He said all workers should give the social security and minimum wages of Rs. 18,000 per month should be provided. The restrictions to get on Bonus, Provident Fund and other should be removed.
Even though the prices of the International fuel very low, the Union government increasing the petrol, diesel prices now and then. Due to increase in petrol and diesel prices, all commodities prices will increase and it will affect the life of the people at large. The Union government is anti people and hence the government putting burden on the common citizens.
K. Shanker of CITU, K. V. Bhat of AITUC and various workers were present during the procession as well as protest meet at Ajjarkad.
