Udupi : Rahul Gandhi is coming to Kaup Constituency for the first time after becoming president of All India Congress Committee. During his visit, road show will be held for three kilometers between Yermal and Padubidri, said Vinay Kumar Sorake, Kaup MLA and former district in-charge Minister.

He was addressing to media persons at Udupi Press Club on Monday, 19^th March, Sorake said that Rahul Gandhi will arrive to Thenka Yermal by chopper from Mangalore Airstriop. At 12.55pm he will inaugurate Rajiv Gandhi Political Institute (Seva Dal Training Institute) and will arress Seva Dal State Office-bearers at Tenka Yermal. At 13.45 the Corner Meeting will be held at Padubidri. During the corner meeting Rahul Gandhi and chief minister might be able to address the gathering at Padubidri. Rahul and team will travel in Jana Ashirvad special bus on his road shows. On the way to Mulki at Hejmady Narayana Guru Sabha Bhavana will be arranged for Rahul Gandhi and others, he said.

Vinay Kumar Sorake said that about 15000 congress workers will be present during the corner meeting with Rahul Gandhi. He will arrive to Mulki at 15.30 and on the way to Mangaluru, he will address at Surathkal at 16.20.

There will be reception held from Jyothi Circle to Signal Point Circle, Mangaluru and public meeting will be held from 18 to 19.30 hours followed by vist to Gokarnatheswara Temple, Rozario Cathedral and Ullal Dargah. He will stay at night at Mangalore Circuit House, Mangaluru.

Next day 8.30 to 9.30 meeting the block Congress presidents of both the Udupi and D.K. districts followed by meeting with senior congress leaders of both the districts.

Sorake said that more time has been given for this visit for Mangaluru. Asking to, he said Rahul Gandhi after completing the three days AICC planning session at New Delhi which ended on 18^th March, he supposed to visit to Udupi district from Byndoor, Kundapura and Udupi legislative constituencies. But he wanted to meet the party leaders from various places of the country on 19^th, March, his scheduled visit briefed and re-scheduled the timings of his visit. He will visit the remaining part of coastal districts shortly, he said.

Vinay Kumar Sorake said that Pramod Madhwaraj was the unanimous choice for Udupi Assembly Constituency that he is the only oen to have filed application for nomination from Udupi Constituency. Due to Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the Kaup Constituency, the Central and State leaders have carried out the inspection of the arrangements done on the occasion and prior to Rahul’s visit, Special Protection Group (SPG) arrived in Kaup and scrutinized the various places of Rahul’s visit, he said.

Along with Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, State Congress President G Parameshwar, AICC General Secretary K. C. Venugopal, Senior leaders Oscar Fernandes, M Mallikarjuna Kharge, M Veerappa Moily and others will attend the programmes with Rahul Gandhi.

Sorake said that the popularity of Modi coming down in all over the country. Yogi Adityanath came to Karnataka to get the votes for BJP. The logic is that his own party has lost miserably in Yogi’s own constituency as well as in other constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya  Pradesh. Telegu Dasam party came out from the NDA, Nithish Kumar of Bihar also not happy with Modi and will soon come out from NDA. Shiva Sena of Maharastra strongly opposing the Modi’s darbar at the centre and so on.

Asking Congress achievement in the Kaup Constituency, Sorake said that Siddaramaih made record that he is only chief minister who presented 13 budgets in the state. Under his leadership, Congress government has launched several programmes and some are not mentioned in the election manifesto of the previous election. All projects are fulfilled as per the manifesto and even rather than manifesto some schemes like Mathru Poorna, Indira Canteen, loan waiver and others also in force in the state, he said.

He said when media persons wanted to know that BJP claim that Anna Bhagya which is central sponsored scheme. Then Sorake said that if it is central programme, why BJP ruled states like Maharastra,Gujarat, Rajasthan and other states not implemented Anna Bhagya schemes ?

He said regarding the achievements in Kaup Constituency, that people will get marvelous benefits due to establishing Kaup taluk that all facilities will get to Kaup City. He explained all the developments done and yet to complete the some of the projects.
