Udupi : There is no change where existing Congress legislative assembly seats except in Karkala constituency. But as far as Karkala Constituency, the selection of candidate all depend on Congress High Command and there is no complications, said Veerappa Moily, Member of Parliament and former chief minister of Karnataka state.

Veerappa Moily speaking to media persons at Tenka Yermal Helipad on Tuesday, 20^th March, said that in regard to candidate from Karkala Constituency, there is already decision taken that the High Command’s decision will be final and there is no scope for any lobby in it. Presently, the Karkala Constituency is under BJP’s hand. Now, we should all try to get back Karkala constituency seat with hard work and unity by the all congress workers, he said.

Moily said that there is no separate High Command for the party in Karkala or district. The decision to give ticket in all the constituencies by the party High Command at Delhi, he said.

Media person’s question on tweet controversy, Moily said that there is no such notice given to neither me nor my son Harsha Moily in regard to tweet controversy. We already have given answer to concerned issue. We already told that tweeter was hacked and later we deleted the tweeter.  There is no damage to the party in regard to tweeter issue. We have witness that the tweeter was fake, he said.

In relate to separate religion for Lingayats, Veerappa Moily said that there is no relation to politics and the religion. This is the issue since more than 13^th century. There is the fight of backward communities. It is not the fight which new. There is no possible to neglect the Veerasaiva communities in order to separate Lingayaths. We have to give also respect to Veerashaiva as well as Lingayaths communitys. There is no question of politics in it, he said.

Replying question on drop of Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Udupi City, Moily said that due to bussy schedule of Rahul, there was no possibility to visit to Udupi city. He will visit later to the district. If he visits Udupi city, Rahul will definitely visit Sri Krishna Math. There is no partiality of any religion to Rahul Gandhi. It is not tradition of Congress to utilize religion to politics, he said.

The Congress party has given plenty opportunities for backward communities and scheduled castes people. I belong to Moily community which is poor and backward community. I have given scope to become chief minister of the state, Union Minister, MLA, MP and other top posts in the party. Congress never neglects the SC/STs and it is not Congress tradition, he said.
