Udupi : The Election Commission has launched “Samadhan, Suvidha and Sugaama Apps to help in Smooth and Transparent elction process in the state by the Priyanka Mary Francis, Deputy Commissioner of Udupi district.

After launching three systems of information technology during the press meet held at DC office, Rajathadri, Manipal here on Saturday, 7^th April, she said these information technology will helps the voters in order to transparent election process.

Samadhan Apps will help for the public for complaints in taluk, district and state level and can avail the information from using the Samadhan Apps. Under using Suvidha Apps, in relate to canvassing the election, political parties can register the permission to hold election meetings, rallies, vehicles, temporary election office, sound system and Helicopters and Helipads. She said the election commission recognized the significance of television in the coverage of elections. Its reach is widespread and its impact substantial. On the one hand television can be misued to favour one party or another. But, on the other hand, the EC recognizes that television can, if used properly be an important source of information for voters across the country, it can provide the widest first hand education for voters on political parties, their symbols, the various leaders, the different issues in the election.

There should be no coverage of any election speeches or other material that incites violence, one religion against, another one caste against another one language groups against another etc.,

In any constituency only one candidate should not be projected. While it is not necessary to cover every single candidate at least the more important should be covered in any report from a constituency.

On the occasion Priyanka Mary Francis released the Audio and Video CD on voter awareness and Vote Invitation. She said the CD contains the Kannada and Tulu local language songs and Yakshagana songs on voter awareness, and the voice message of famous persons on Voter awareness. International Kabadi player Mamatha Poojary and Karate Champion Karthik Kateel messages are also included urging the youg and old to come out and vote in the ensuing Assembly elections on 12^th May.
