Udupi : Indian National Congress Party with the collaboration of Udupi Block Congress Committee and Brahmavar Block Congress Committee will be organized a Janashirvad Convention at the Royal Garden, Kalsanka on Sunday, 22^nd April, 2018 at 2.30 pm., said Pramod Madhwaraj, District in-charge Minister and Udupi Assembly Constituency Congress Candidate.

Speaking to media persons at Udupi Press Club during the press meet on Wednesday, 18^th April, Pramod Madhwaraj said that during the convention at Udupi, local leaders like Vinay Kumar Sorake, Gopala Poojary, Gopala Bhandary, Pratapchandra Shetty, Rakesh Malli President of State INTUC, Muniyal Uday Kumar Shetty, M A Gafoor and others will participate.

Pramod Madhwaraj said that he will file his nomination papers on 23^rd April as Congress Party Candidate of Udupi legislative assembly. He said that he had contested in election three times here before. This time we are going to retain the Congress seat in Udupi constituency due to lot of developmental work has been done in the constituency. We do not have headache whoever may be the BJP candidate and we have no botheration also. This is the forth election of me, he said.

Speaking about the Karkala ticket from Congress party issue, Pramod Madhwaraj said that in every party there is confusion and differences will be common. For me Party is bigger than the person. What party high command decides, we should have to follow. Party will take a decision whatever the issues. As Karkala seat is concerned, party will decide and they will solve the problems with positive discussions. he said.

Speaking about the slow process of the Congress party in Udupi constituency, Pramod  Madhwaraj said that at Udupi constituency party is going well with several party meetings and booth level meetings. In this election there are tough some measures has been carried out by the election commission. The campaigning is very tough this election that fear of the people due to some of the restriction due to model code of conduct.

Speaking about the election manifesto, Pradmod said that the drinking water problem will be sorted out with bringing water from the Varahi to Udupi which is tendering process under progress. Most important Medical College at Brahmavar and the Hospital over there, drinking water under Multi village drinking water project implementation, Solving the problem of 94c and 94cc and distributing the land, house for landless people has been taken on a priority basis and other important problems of our constituency, he said.

District Congress Committee President Janardhan Tonse, District General Secretary Narasimha Murthy, Udupi Block Congress President Sathish Amin Padukere, Sathish Amin, Meenakshi Madhav Bannanje, CMC President, Janardhan Bhandarkar, Divakar Kundar, Harish Kini, Dinesh Puthran and others were present during the press meet.
