Rise in atrocities on women, several associations to stage protest meet on 24th April

Udupi : District Muslim Okkoota ® along with Karnataka Dalit Sangarsh Committee’s Maha Okkoota, Catholic Sabha, Karnataka Komu Sauharda Vedike, International Christian Federations Association, CITU and Dalit Swabhimani Horata Committee will jointly organized Public meeting on 24th April, at Chitaranjan Circle at 7.30 pm on increasing atrocities on women, said Abdul Azim Udyavara, Convener of the protest committee.
Speaking to media persons during the press meet, Abdul Azim said that the atrocity on women has been increased in the country which would be great concern. The rape and murder case in Kathuva, Jammu and Kashmir, incident at Unnav of Uttar Pradesh and many more terrific incidents all over the country increased day by day. We all strongly condemn the atrocities on women in the country.
He said that there should be need to punish the culprits and whoever it may be, the accused should be punished. In order to give strong punishment for the accused of the rapes crimes, the various associations of the Udupi district to organize silent procession with burning the candles during the procession from Bhujanga Park, Ajjarkad here at 6.30 pm.
During the public meeting at Chitaranjan Circle, social activist, great multi language actor Prakash Rai, Dalit leader state leader Mavalli Shankar, Karnataka Komu Sauharda Vedike State Secretary K L Ashok, Muslim Okkoota State President Mohammed Yasin Malpe, Koraga Development Committee President Susheela Naada, Journalist Sabhiya Fatima, Christian Priest Fr William Martis, Dalit leaders Sundar Master and Shymajraj Birthi, great thinker G. Rajshekar, CITU district President T. Vishwanath Rai and others will present.
Yaseen Malpe, G. Rajshekar, Sunder Master, Adbul Rehman, Prashanth Jathanna and other among were present.
