Udupi : Bharatiya Janatha Party released election manifesto for Udupi legislative assembly constituency  by K. Jayaprakash Hegde, former MP on Saturday, 5^th May, 2018 at Country Inn Hotel, Manipal here.

After the manifesto released, K. Raghupathy Bhat said that fishermen diesel tax concession will be reintroduced and after the deduction of taxes, diesel will be distributed on the place of distribution center itself.

He said that instead of the present plan of Pramod Madhwaraj, instead of the present of bringing water from the Varahi to Baje by pipelines, a 10 feet corridor under scientific system would be constructed from the source to Baje.

The BJP would convert the two lane into four lanes at Manipal- Ambagilu, Old Taluk office – Korangarapady, Beedinagudde-Alevoor, Brahmagiri-Bannanje, Brahmavar-Kalathur Santhekatte and Manipal –Alevoor-Korangrapady ring roads.

Within six months if we get the power, priority would be given to widening the Malpe-Manipal-Parkala stretch 9on the National Highway 169A here.

Horticulture study and implementation programmes, Five or more Kindi Dams will be constructed over Seetha River. The BJP will give importance to creating Greater Udupi. Solid waste would be scientifically disposed at the waste management plant at Alevoor.Importance would be given to corruption free in Udupi City Council. Once in a week, elected MLA will meet the people at Udupi Municipality office.

A special fisheries industrial area would be created for the sake of fishermen and fisherwomen selling dry fish would be given the lands, where they sell, on lease.

The upkeep of Malpe beach would be given to local bhajan mandalis instead of private agencies.

A cricket stadium would be established in Beedinagudde. An information technology hub would be established in Udupi constituency.

Housing facilities would be provided to poor people. Efforts would be made to get an ESI Hospital in Udupi. Udyog Melas would be held annually to provide jobs for the youth.

The street lights maintenance in the city would be improved and importance would be given to maintenance of cleanliness in the city also.

Special attention will be given to liberalize the CRZ rules. The liberalize the sand mining system and availability of low price for the sand and separate Sand mining system would be introduced in CRZ areas sand mining.

The upgrade of district Hospital and would be increase the beds in Haji Abdulla Women and Children Hospital from 200 beds to 400 beds.

Best teacher awards to SSLC and PUC teachers for the achievements will be given every year. Upgrade of Malpe Fishing Fort would be done.
