Udupi : Graduates constituency candidate Ayanur Manjunath and Teacher’s constituency candidate Capt. Ganesh Karnik have expressed confidence to be victories in the Legislative Council elections.
Speaking to media persons at BJP district office on 1st June, Capt Ganesh Karnik in Teachers’ constituency there are total 20,481 voters and graduates constituency there are total 68,100 voters. In Udupi district there are 2,762 teachers and 8,276 graduates voters. We are very much confident to win the election, said Capt. Ganesh Karnik.
During the BJP rule in Karnataka, 191 new degree colleges, 11 engineering colleges, 6 Medical colleges were started. We started Law, Music, Horticulture, Agricultural and other universities started. But during the congress rule in the state in regard to education completely neglected, Karnik said.
He said when BJP was in power, they had sanctioned Rs. 48,000 crore to 18666 crore for education and it had brought Kannada medium schools under various grants. Totally the teachers have lost faith in the previous congress government, he said.
Ayanur Manjunath said that the South West Teachers’ constituency consists of 5 MPs and 30 assembly constituencies. Out of which there are 27 constituencies under BJP. If I won the election, I have try to solve all the problems of graduates.
Indeed, we have complete confident to win the election as the legislative election was in favour of BJP and able to win 104 seats, he said.
Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, President of district BJP, Lalaji R Mendon Kaup MLA, Kota Srinivas Poojary MLC, Dinakar Babu Zilla Panchayat President, Prabhakar Poojary, Udupi Block BJP President, BJP leaders Suresh Nayak, Naveen Shetty Kuthyaru, Shymala Kundar, Sandhya Ramesh and others were present.
