Udupi : No other political party born to defeat the Congress. Due to internal problems in the party leads to defeat in previous election. But, Congress will surely win in upcoming Lok Sabha elections, said Dr Jayamala, District in-charge Minister, Minister for Women, Child Development, Karnataka government.

She was addressing during the interaction with the Congress workers in Congress Bhavan, Near Nairkere, Brahmagiri here on Sunday, 5^th August, Dr. Jayamala said the defeat of Congress candidates favours me to win. We have satisfaction that there was any single mole on previous Siddaramaih government. There was lots of developmental works with various schemes which helped the confident on Congress party. Even though there would be defeat, we have been lot of respect, she said.

She said that we should appreciate the Congress workers for their effortless work for the party. We need development, peace and prosperity among the people of the state. We are all united for the Congress party and the people. I shall work with confidence of the people at large. The welfare of the people would important, she said.

We do not have defeat or win in our hands. There may be several other reasons for that. But today those who defeated shall need to win in future. I have lot of respect for the congress workers. The former congress ministers and the MLAs had done tremendously developmental works in past government and people never forget the achievements in developmental works in Udupi district, she said.

Earlier Dr. Jayamala visited Sri Krishna temple and met Paryaya Palimar Swamiji in Sri Krishna temple. Her first visit after appointing district in-charge minister to Congress Bhavan, during the interaction programme, Janardhan Thonse District Congress Committee President presided over the programme. Former district in-charge minister Pramod Madhwaraj, former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, MLC Pratapchandra Shetty and former MLA Gopala Bhandary spoke during the occasion. Earlier M. A. Gafoor of State Congress Committee gave introduction and welcomed the gatherings.

G. A Mohideen, Devparasad Shetty, Amrith Shenoy, Vishwas Amin, all block presidents and other leaders along with large number of congress party workers were present.
