Udupi : The contracting company of the ISPRL project has given written reply that no compensation would payable to damaged around 150 houses at Padur near here during work of stone explosion, said Pradeep Kurdekar, Udupi Tahasildar.

Replying to the Sandeep Rao, President of Majoor Gram Panchyat during the Udupi Taluk Panchayat general meeting on Wednesday, 12^th Spetember held at Udupi Taluk office here. Nalini Pradeep Rao presided over the general meeting of Udupi Taluk Panchayat. Member Sandeep Rao said that due to ISPRL stone explosion, several houses are damaged and government nor the contracting company not given any compensation for the same even though Tahsildar damaged report submitted for them. But, local MLA and local people held meeting with the DC office and told that the letter has written to contracting company managing director in regard to the compensation, he said.

Member Sudheer Kumar Shetty said that the receipt amount of new ration card application fee, address change and other fees in relate to ration card could utilize for grama panchayat development. The member wanted to know that which purpose the receipts of ration cards fees utilized?, he asked. In reply to Tahasildar Pradeep Kurdekar said that application fees, address change and other ration card related fees has been deposited separate account of the Grama Panchayat.

In reply to member Neeta Gururaj, Pradeep Kurdekar said that income certificate will be available for any member of the family with giving admission certificate of the school children.

Another member Dinesh Kotian said that there are so many small and large scale industries in Padubidri. But these industries are not paying any taxes to the grama panchayat.  He demanded to make enquiry on ashes rain in surrounding areas of Padubidri. Replying to, EO Mohanraj said that all should pay the taxes to the grama panchayat. Regarding the ash rain, enquiry under way, he said.

Shashiprabha Shetty, a member said that due to heavy pieces of tree blockage, water not moving further at Gurme of Kuthyar grama panchayat limit and should take solution to move water without any hindrance.

Geetha Wagle said that the fisherwomen selling fish beside the road without any shelter to them and need atleast temporarily shelter to sale of fish for fisher women. EO Mohanraj said that if they need the shelter to sale of fish, they should write a letter to Fishing department and they will provide the shelter to sale of fish.
