Konkani Natak Sabha holds Dance competition

The 18th Inter Parish Dance competition was organized for the parishioners of Mangalore Diocese by the Konkani Natak Sabha® Mangalore in the Don Bosco Hall here on Sunday, September 16.

The Competition was held in three categories i.e. below 10 years, 10 to 15 years and above 15 years in Ladies duet, Gents duet, Mixed group and married couple.

77 participants in 27 entries from 8 Parishes took part in the competition.

In the below-15 year’s category, Cordel parish bagged the first place while Angelore parish stood second and Cascia third place.

In the above-15 years category Angelore bagged the first place, Cordel Parish second and Cascia third place.

Elton Mascarenhas, Shanthi Priya Lasrado and Dikson Machado were the judges.

Vice President Sunil Menezes welcomed the gathering and announced the results. Joint Secretary Jossy Thedore introduced the judges. General Secretary Judith D’Souza proposed vote of thanks. Raymond D’Cunha compered the programme. Convenor Gretta Rebello among others were present.
