UDUPI : Diocesan Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), officially launched ‘REDROP” App project by Bishop Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo on Tuesday, December 18 at Sheshashayana Hall here.

Bishop was unveiled the REDROP mobile App along with all dignitaries present on the dais.

Addressing the gathering Bishop said that we need to help others to have our life time happiness. Mother Theresa of Calcutta said that small is beautiful. All of us not can do things greater. But we can do small things with great love. Every person should do small things for society with honesty in their life. Hence, it will be become great achievement in their life. When we expect happiness, then we should help others. So with the help for others, we can see the God. Bishop appreciated the initiative taken to help others through this App.

Dr Tallur Shivaram Shetty, Lions District Governor and chief guest of the occasion said that Blood is very precious for the human being. When there is shortage of blood, there are cases to get blood easily. The initiative of Christian Youth Movement launched one of the best initiatives to help others. Let their hard work should be important and useful one for the society, he said.

During the occasion, App developers Ryan Christ D’Souza and Roshan Sequiera were honoured by the Bishop for their efforts in developing the App. Meanwhile sponsors and donors were honored by the Bishop during the occasion.

Ashok Chanthar, Rotary Zone President, Leslie Aroza Director, Family Commission of Udupi diocese and also animator of ICYM Udupi diocese, Dr Edward Lobo Director of Health Commission, Udupi diocese, Alphonse D’Costa, Secretary of Diocesan Pastoral Council, Udupi diocese, Alwyn Quadros, President of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, Janet Barboza President of Catholic Strhree Sanghatan, Udupi diocese Rev Fr. Edwin D’Souza Director of Youth Commission, Diocese of Udupi and Dion D’Souza President ICYM Diocese of Udupi were present on the dais.

Dion D’Souza welcomed the gathering and Jeevan Pereira Treasurer, ICYM Udupi diocese delivered vote of thanks. Roshan Sequeira compared the programme.
