Udupi : In relate to double murder case on 26^th January, at Chikkanakere of Manoor Grama near Kota,  two more persons’, both DAR policemen were arrested by the Udupi district Police on Sunday, January 10,  said Laxman B. Nibargi, District  Superintendent of Police.

The two more accused identified as Pawan Ameen and Veerendra Acharya, Assistant police constables of Kota Police station who have helped the main accused Harish Reddy.

As per the investigation in the case by police, both suspended cops had helped in arranging a car, money and phone to the murder accused Harish Reddy to abscond after the crime. Pawan Ameen and Veerendra Acharya both cops were produced before the judge late night at his residence on Sunday and court has remanded them to Judicial Custody for further investigations SP said.

Pawan Amin and Veerendra Acharya both are rambling with main accused in the case Harish Reddy, Rajashekar Reddy, Mahesh Ganiga, Santhosh Kunder and others. On the night of January 26, Pawan Ameen helped to stay at his house at Kuchhur near Hebri for main accused in the case. Next day on January 27, Harish Reddy called Pawan to send mobile phone, SIM and other materials. As such, Pawan sent all asked materials with Pranav Bhat, SP said.

On January night, Pawan Ameen along with Veerendra Acharya helped a car to murder accused and later helped them to stay at Mallandoor of NR Pura on January 28. When at the time of returned from there, both Pawan and Veerandra hided phone which Harish Reddy given to them, said SP.

Police recovered used car and mobile phones along with SIM and other materials, SP said.

Earlier police arrested six persons including BJP Zilla Panchayat member Raghavendra Kanchan, Rowdy seaters’ Rajashekar Reddy, Medical Ravi, Harish Reddy, Mahesh Ganiga and Ravichandra Poojary in the case. Till today, total eight accused in the double murder case arrested. Yathish and Bharath Kumar were murdered in day light on the issue of toilet pit on January 26, 2019.
