KONKANI GROUP MALVANI, celebrated its Silver Jubilee function on Sunday 17th February 2019 at St. Anthony School Quandrangle, Malvani, Malad.  A comedy Konkani drama ‘KEPPYACHIN KHESTANVAN’ was staged. The programme was commenced at 7 pm with, welcome address by Mrs. Loviza Pereira, President, and followed by two minutes of silence prayer for the terrorist attack on our CRPF troop on 14/2/2019 at Pulwama, in J&K, in which 42 Jawans were killed.

 Variety of programmes was organized such as prayer dance, singing, dance and Konkani skit by the members and their children. All acts were appreciated and enjoyed by the audience.

The chief guest Mr. Gilbert Baptist and Mrs. Mercileine Baptist (proprietor –Maliaka) guest comedy king Mr. Francis Fernandes Cassia, Mr. Joy Paladka (Drama Director) Mr. Hilary Lobo, (prop. Felicitated by bouquets of flowers by Luviza Pereira, President, Mr. Sabestan D’Mello, Vice President, Mr, Charles Saldhana, Secretary, Mr Gregory Viegas Treasuer and Mr. Felix D’Souza, Cultural programme in charge. The report of the Konkani Group Malvani, was prepared and presented beautifully by Charles Saldhana, Secretary. Mr. Felix D’Souza Malvani, thanked all the guest, Sponsors, donors and the lovely people present. 

A dose full of laughter was added by the Konkani comedy drama ‘KEPPYACHIN KHESTANVAN’ written by Mr. Claud D’Souza, Bendoor, Directed by Mr. Joy Paladka, acted by Mrs. Juliee Vas Marol, Mr. Gregory Sequeira Niddodi, Mr. Felix D’Souza Malvani and Mr. Melwyn D’Souza Kandivali.  The drama was enjoyed by audience cheered and laughed.
 
The function was compared beautifully by Mr. George Sequeira, Bhayandar.  600 people were present.  Snacks was served to all.

The next programme of KONKANI GROUP MALVANI, was announcemed. A comedy, emotional Konkani drama ‘Mhojhe Voili Kals Nivar’ Written by Joseph D’Souza Borivali and Directed by Wlliam Machado Borivali, will be staged on Sunday 21st April 2019 at 7 pm at St. Anthony Church Ground, Malvani, Malad.
