Udupi :Pramod Madhwaraj candidate for Udupi –Chickmagalur Constituency from JD(S) should clarify for the voters, after the election either he lost or not, what his position and stand ?, Raghupathy Bhat said.

Addressing to reporters during press meet at BJP office at Kadiyali on Thursday, March 28, Raghupathy Bhat said that in order to get ticket from JD(S), due to selfishness Pramod changed his party from Congress to JD(S) and taken JD(S) membership. In fact, the loyal congressmen are disappointed with Pramod Madhwaraj contesting in coalition partner JD(S).

Congress party has given several chance to Pramod after he won first time in MLA election that of cabinet secretary, state minister, district in-charge minister and most important cabinet minister. But presently due to desire for power, he changed his motives and taken JD(S) symbol in Lok Sabha election. His led to anger on Pramod by several loyalists of Congress since Indira Gandhi in Congress. Contesting in dual parties shall not possible. There is no base of JD(S) here that they do not have any taluk or zilla panchayat members. Even, JD(S) asked to contest in JDS ticket for senior congressmen in other part of the state. But there, these congressmen neglected the offer just because of their identity in Congress. But here in Udupi-Chickmagaluru constituency, JDS succeeded in getting support by Pramod just because of his unlimited desire to get power, Bhat alleges.

Secondly, Pramod Madhwaraj used to say everywhere that he brought Rs. 2500 crore for the development of the legislative constituency which would be total false and Pramod Madhwaraj speaking with lies. People are knew about his lying statements and given punishment in the last legislative election.

Raghupathy Bhat said that CM Kumaraswamy gave statement that coastal people have no brain which totally not acceptable and the CM should give apology for coastal people for his insulting statements.

Raghupathy Bhat strongly alleged that Pramod Madhwaraj has totally responsible for crisis of sand in the district. Large number of people suffering due to sand crisis, There is no problem in our neighbouring districts. But why the problem in our district, he asks. I am give evidence about Pramod’s direct involvement in sand crisis. Pramod pressured the district administration to ban sand mining.

Bhat said that the district administration had hastily decided to provide the water distribution in one in three days for Udupi city. I suspect there must be some hidden hands behind the decision to supply water to the city once in three days even though there is enough storage at Baje dam to supply water to Udupi city without any cut. Deputy Commissioner Hephsiba Rani Korlapati was new to the district and had no knowledge of the intricacies with regard to water supply in the city. Though the Model Code of Conduct was in force, the administration and the CMC could have consulted him on this matter before taking any decision to distribution of water once in three days, Bhat said.

To a query, Bhat refuses the BJP’s role in T J Abraham and Pramod Madhwaraj case. This is personal matter of Pramod. We do not need to discuss or take advantage about the case on Pramod. We never invited T J Abraham to canvas against Pramod. We are going to win with large lead in Lok Sabha election, he said.
