Udupi : Karnataka Veterinary Association (Reg) Udupi district organized protest meet in front of District Deputy Commissioner office at Manipal on Tuesday, December 3, against the brutal murder of Dr. Priyanka Reddy, Veterinary assistant surgeon who served in the animal husbandry department in Telangana State.
Addressing during the protest meet, Dr Babanna Poojary, President of Karnataka Veterinary Association (Reg), Udupi district branch said that Dr Priyanka Reddy was brutally murdered and burned by the criminals on November 28. This murder had the fear in other women community and deterred them from executing duties and their professional responsibilities also.
Dr. Babanna Poojary said that the Karnataka Veterinary Association of Udupi district strongly condemns this cruel act and we demand justice a high level of investigation. The government should act immediately and must hang them at the earliest. We demand justice to the deceased Dr. Priyanka Reddy and their families as well as Veterinary professionals, he said.
Later the office bearers’ of Karnataka Veterinary Association, Udupi district branch submitted the appeal to K Chandrashekar Rao, Chief Minister of Telangana State, through Additional Deputy Commissioner of Udupi district Suresh Prabhu.
Dr. Nagaraj, Vice President of the Association, Dr Pradeep Kumar N.K., Dr Manjunath Adiga N, Treasurer, Dr. Santoshkumar C V., Joint Secretary, Dr. Vargheese Chavan, Internal Auditor, Dr. Gopalkrishna L Bhat, Taluk representative Udupi, Dr. Sooryanarayana, Kundapur taluk representative, Dr. Subrahmanya Prasad, Karkala Taluk Panchayat representative and members of Udupi district Branch Karnataka Veterinary Association were participated.
