Udupi: The public can apply for information in selected departments under the Right to Information Act through January, pay online and get the information they need online, said District Collector G. Jagdish.
He was speaking at a training workshop held on Monday, December 23 at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium in Rajathadri, Manipal, organized by various departmental officials on the application of RTI.
In the state, the right to information system online, the first stage of the experiment, Revenue, PWD, food and civil supplies, Interior, Urban and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Departments to apply online through the RTI, with all departments, including the departments Since the submission of the application offline Ha to continue, applying online to the public via Net banking or fixed fee for debit and credit cards Payments.
G Jagadish, the District Collector, said that the information required by the public should be provided as soon as possible under the RTI Act.
Udupi district is the first state in the state to adopt and implement any new technology and governance method in the state government departments. The District Commissioner said all the coordination of this online RTI system would be successful in the district. He said training will also be conducted for office content managers and computer operators at the next level. B. Sadashiva Prabhu, Additional District Collector and District Coordination Officer of Online Right to Information (RTI), gave information on the Right to Information and Disposal Procedures online.
All Tehsildars of the district, Department of Police, Public Works, Urban Development, Food and Civil Supplies, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department officials were present.
