Udupi: All arrangements have been made in all the temples associated with the Saprapadi simple mass wedding ceremony which will be held on April 26 across the state, said Muzarayi minister Kota Srinivasa Poojary.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the Saptapadi Simple Mass Wedding Seminar at Udupi Pura Bhavan on Sunday, February 23 in collaboration with the District and Hindu Religious Institutions and Religious Endowments Department.

The first of 100 temples in the state will have a simple mass wedding ceremony on April 26, with all the necessary preparations being made in the temples, where there are no A-grade temples, preparations made in the B and C-grade temples. Writing letters to all district legislators and requesting assistance for the event, there has been a good response everywhere. In simple wedding, the bride is given to purchase clothes  at a cost of 10000 and the groom 5000 and 40000 to buy golden mangalya chain.Under the Ideal Marriage Scheme Rs 10000 and Scheduled tribe groom will get 50,000 from Social Empowerment department, Kota Srinivas Poojary said.

With the Saptapadhi chariot, there is widespread awareness of the mass wedding ceremony, and simple wedding brides, saints and dignitaries are expected to grace the brides and grooms. The Minister said that many dignitaries including Sukattur Sri, Telarabalu Sri, Siddaganga Sri, Dharmasthala Virendra Hegde and Infosys Sudhamoorthy will be participating in the program. The minister said nodal officers have been appointed to 30 districts of the state for the success of the program.

The Cow school (Goshalas) scheduled to open in 25 major religious centers in the state. It is the temples’ responsibility to teach the good culture of the young people and to develop our culture. Minister Kota said all religious centers in the state should work in this regard.

Speaking on the occasion, Maharshi Ananda Guruji, Member of Karnataka State Religious Council, said marriage is the sacred act of tying the two ties together, forcing many children who are in debt to get married to their children due to financial constraints and postponing the wedding to many parents. Don’t worry, live a happy new life The government will provide a simple wedding plan for the hard-working married bride and groom, couples who get married in sacred places in a simple marriage will receive and spread the blessings of the Lord in the field, so that more parents will benefit from the government’s simple wedding plan.

Udupi MLA Raghupati Bhatt presided over the function.District Panchayat President Dinakara Babu, Vice President Sheela Shetty  Udupi Taluk Panchayat presdent Nita Gururaja Poojary, State Religious Council Member Siddalinga Prabhu, District Hindu Religious Institutions and Assistant Commissioner of Religious Endowments Department Ravikumar was present.

Additional district commissioner Sadashiva Prabhu welcomed the gathering and Prashant Havanje compered the programme.

    Chairmen and members of various temples, including mass wedding temples in the district, and officials of various bhajans, participated in the seminar.
