Print Udupi: The current number of Covid-19 positive cases in Udupi district is increasing day by day and the public, despite various inconveniences, arrives at the office of the District Collector’s office in various towns by own vehicles or buses. Hence, under the leadership of District Collector G. Jagadeesh, in order to get various services from the district collector’s office, introduced project which would be simple and fast service to the public.
The Udupi district is an innovative project where the public can sit in their home and get their work done at the office of the district collector by telephone or WhatsApp and email.
The District has given the public an opportunity to obtain information by calling the telephone number: 0820-2574931, 0820-2571500 to inquire about the work they are required to do, and what is currently being done for them, including their request and applications.
Required work and an urgent request, if needed, can be submitted with the required documents, email address udupidc.helpline@gmail.com or WhatsApp number 98808 31516. So the general public is advised not to visit the DC office at Manipal and make use of the above mentioned arrangements.
Containment zones have been established in some parts of the district to prevent coronavirus infection in the Udupi district. These some of the surrounding areas has been seal down. This new scheme will alleviate the constraints in these areas and the disadvantages of the public from far-flung areas. The public can get the services they need without having to visit the DC offices.
However, the Deputy Commissioner’s office said that only in the case of the most urgent need to visit first, the office of the DC can be visited. But those who have symptoms of diseases or infected diseases are not allowed to the DC office, said DC G Jagdeesh.
