Udupi : As many as 113 new cases tested for coronavirus positive reported on Monday, September 7, which takes the total positive cases in the district so far to 12,840.

According to the district health bulletin to the media, among 113 covid positive cases, 57 cases reported as symptomatic,  out of which 39 are male and 18 are females, meanwhile out of 56 cases of asymptomatic, 35 are males and 21 are females. The sources for infection are contacts 5, influenza like illness(ILI) 24, Severe Acute Respiratory illness(SARI) 2, Under investigation 78, Domestic Traveler 1 and international traveler is nil.

Among 113 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 64, from Kundapura 36 and Karkala taluk 5 and from out of district are 8.

Details of admissions/Isolation on September 7 are: Out of 113 positive cases, COVID care Centre and in designated COVID Hospital, in designated COVID Health Hospital are 25 and Home Isolation are 88. Total admissions for Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid hospital and designated covid health hospital are 7096 including 25 today. Total Home Isolation is 5737 including 88 today. Total number of admission and isolation till today are 12,833 including 113 today on September 7.

A total of 78,065 samples have been collected so far including 236 on Monday, September 7, out of which 189 are covid suspects, 8 are covid contacts, 2 are SARI, 18 are ILI and other Hot Spot are 19.

A total of 65,034 samples have turned out to be negative so far in the district, including 282 on today and 191 test reports are pending.

As many as 12,840 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 113 on Monday, September 7.

As many as 10,946 patients have been discharged so far, including 183 discharged today on Monday, September 7, which 74 patients are discharged from Covid Hospitals and 109 from Home Isolation, 1780 cases are currently active which active cases in hospitals are 882 and in home are 898.

Till today 114 persons succumbed to death due to Coronavirus in the district, including two deaths today. Both from Udupi taluk males aged 55 and 21 years old succumbed to death today on Monday, September 7, 2020.
