Udupi : As many as 233 new cases tested for coronavirus positive and Four succumbed to death reported on Monday, September 21,

According to the district health bulletin to the media, among 233 covid positive cases, 135 cases reported as symptomatic,  out of which 89are male and 46 are females, meanwhile out of 98 cases of asymptomatic, 54 are males and 44 are females. The sources for infection are contacts 140, influenza like illness(ILI) 78, Severe Acute Respiratory illness(SARI) 6, Under investigation 5, Domestic Traveler 3 and international traveler is one.

Among 233 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 111, from Kundapura 55 and Karkala taluk 47 and from out of district are 20.

Details of admissions/Isolation on September 21 are: Out of 233 positive cases, COVID care Centre and in designated COVID Hospital, in designated COVID Health Hospital are 71 and Home Isolation are 162. Total admissions for Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid hospital and designated covid health hospital are 7911 including 71 today. Total Home Isolation is 7706 including 162 today. Total number of admission and isolation till today are 15,617 including 233 today on September 21.

A total of 94,320 samples have been collected so far including 792 on Monday, September 21, out of which 738 are covid suspects, 33 are covid contacts, 3 are SARI, 7 are ILI and other Hot Spot are 11.

A total of 78,859 samples have turned out to be negative so far in the district, including 619 on today and 130 test reports are pending.

As many as 15,331 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 233 on Monday, September 21.

As many as 14,114 patients have been discharged so far, including 278 discharged today on Monday, September 21, which 66 patients are discharged from Covid Hospitals and 212 from Home Isolation, 1366 cases are currently active which active cases in hospitals are 815 and in home are 551.

Till today 144 persons succumbed to death due to Coronavirus in the district, including four succumbed deaths on Monday, September 21.
