January 18, 2021: Chief minister B S Yediyurappa arrived Udupi district today on two-day visit.

CM Yediyurappa arrived today Monday the January 18th at 3 pm at the Ajjarakad Helipad in Adi Udupi. On arrival the district Administration has given the guard of honor to the CM. Udupi DC G. Jagadesh welcomed the CM on behalf of the district administration. Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, MLA Ragupahthi Bhat and many top BJP leaders from the district were present during the welcome.

CM Yediyurappa will inaugurate ‘Vishwapata’, the new entrance way for Sri Krishna Darshana. At 5:15 pm, he will have Sri Krishna Darshana and then take part in the 500 year celebrations of the Paryaya tradition.

Udupi : The tweet on incorporating Marathi-speaking areas in Karnataka including Belagavi with Maharastra by the Maharastra Chief Minister Uddav Thackeray is strongly condemnable. Whatsoever, there would no question arises to give one inch of Karnataka land, said Chief Minister of Karnataka B S Yeddyurappa.

Speaking with media persons after arriving at Adi-Udupi Helipad for the two days visit to Udupi district, B. S. Yeddyurappa said that the statement of Uddav Thackery is bold and impudent. Politicizing on this issue should be stopped. This stand would be against the system of national unity. Everybody knows that the Mahajan report has been final and it would be not fair to create these issues, said Yeddyurappa.

Yeddyurappa said that in Karnataka both Marathi and Kannadigas living together like children of one mother. Even in bordering areas both Marathi and Kannada speaking people living are with good relation. The statement by Uddav Thackery is an attempt to spoil the good relationship between Marathis and Kannadigas which is condemnable, he said.

To a query of media persons that the statement of Udday Thackery caused anguish to the Kannada supporting organizations, Yeddyurappa said that there is no need to worry about such political statement. Many times I have clarified that these statements are an attempt to create confusion among the people. We are all united and need to be united, he said.

After arrival at Helipad, Chief Minister received the honor from the district police. Kota Srinivas Poojary, Raghupathy Bhat, Lalaji Mendon, Sunil Kumar, Sukumar Shetty, Dinakar Babu, Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, Sumitha Nayak, District Collector Jagadeesha and SP Vishnuvardhan were present.
